I hope we can begin to head home Wednesday or Thursday. Our area is not flooded. A neighbor who stayed says that our house is fine. Whew!

Jeanne, we didn't flood either. No news yet on if there was any wind damage. Still no power though. According to our Parish website and the Sheriff's office website:

"THERE ARE NO STORES OPEN
THERE IS NO ICE
THERE IS NO GASOLINE
THERE ARE POWER OUTAGES IN ABOUT 90% OF THE PARISH
THE SEWER SYSTEM IS NOT OPERATIONAL AND BACKUPS ARE POSSIBLE
WATER IS RUNNING AND MEDICAL CARE IS UNAVAILABLE IN SCP AND NOT AVAILABLE IN OUR SURROUNDING PARISHES"

So, we will be staying where we are for now.

I am SOOO glad I got rid of all the food in my fridge and freezer!!!!!!

So sorry, Karen. At least no flooding.
It has been pouring here all day today. We have power and water. My sunroom is leaking terribly.
We have been under a tornadoe warning all day. The kids have been in lockdown at their schools.
They are going to be in such nice moods when they come home LOL.
Ahh, your fridge would be a mess by now!
