Ah! I said I'd come up with games for my sister's shower (we've been getting along, I daresay I think she is maturing) and it's tomorrow! I've been so busy with back to school business it snuck up on me? Any ideas?

Here are a couple of games we recently had at a shower. I hope the ideas help.

1) Guess the baby food. Get a bunch of baby food jars and take off the labels. Label them 1-however many you get. Have the guests guess. Prize awarded to winner. Oh, make sure you write down the correct answers before you take off the labels!

2) Unscramble the words. Make a list of Baby related words and scramble each word. Guests attempt to unscramble as many as possible. (There might be a list online you could find?)

3)Guess the number of (insert item-usually jelly beans, etc) in the baby bottle. Closest guess wins the bottle.

Have lots of fun!

Give everyone a diaper pin, to pin onto their clothes. Tell them they can't say the word "baby". If they are caught saying the word "baby", they have to give their pin, to the person who caught them. I think it's whoever can grab the most pins, wins.

The last baby shower that did this, I didn't hang onto my pin for long!

They did one at my sister's shower where they got newborn sized diapers and melted candybars into them. The guests had to guess what each candybar was based on the look and smell of it. Some of them were DISGUSTING looking inside of the diaper and it looked hilarious seeing everyone sniffing diapers. lol....

The first one, the one with the string, was done at my shower. I just remember my aunt cutting her string to be SO long!! I was like "I am NOT that big!" LOL It was fun

I think i also did the nursery rhyme one at a shower, that was a hard one!

Thanks so much! It went well. We did the string to see how big she was which was funny, guess how many safety pins, the clothespin gets taken if you say the word "baby", baby bingo and a funny one about pregnancy related terms you match up with a candy name like hospital bill was 100 grand bar, etc. I went to one that did the melted candy bars in the diaper game lol!! It's the first baby in twenty years in her husbands family, she got a TON of stuff!!!
