What's for dinner? Need some inspiration:)

What ARE you having for dinner? I'm so unmotivated! After unpacking all day today, I really don't want to fix anything, but with the move we've been eating out a lot already. Nothing sounds good. I'm anxious to get back on my menu planning as of next week. This day-to-day stuff is a bummer! I've really gotten used to my menus and not having to think about it everyday.
Any ideas?
We had chops lastnight, a box of hamburger helper another night:), DH isn't too hot on chicken and it doesn't sound good to me either, and had spaghetti another night.
We might just end up going out for pizza, but we live so far out (as always!) that it's time consuming at the end of the day to go out unless it's a weekend!

We're having soft tacos. Simple. DH is out of town so I'm not doing much.

We're having a chicken casserole. It's fried chicken breast (with bone and skin) put in a casserole dish with mushroom soup poured over the top and cooked until warmed thoroughly, served over rice. I'll probably serve green beans with it. Simple and easy. :)

Meatloaf and mashed potatoes here. It's dh's favorite and today is a long day for him.

Grilled chicken and zucchini, pasta and no-bake cheesecake. It's too hot here for anything too warm.

We are having meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and gravy with green beans. My youngest won't eat meat so he is having grilled chicken instead of the meatloaf. I also have crescent rolls. My oldest ds loves these!

Tonight it's Perkins. We spent the afternoon, at a waterpark and my girlfriend had to go to a school meeting. As soon as she is done, we are going to Perkins.

For tomorrow, I'd love to have a salad with grilled chicken and tomatoes from the garden, plus other veggies. I'll have to run to the store tonight, for the other veggies. We have our own tomatoes. (yum!)

We'll have to marinate the chicken and get it grilled in the morning, since we have a chance of thunderstorms sometime tomorrow.. The rest the kids can do, while I'm working in the afternoon. It would be a quick and easy supper, before we go to our knit night at the local yarn store.

Maybe we'll make some sort of bread thing, tonight, after supper today.

Curried Chicken Penne with Fresh Mango Chutney Yum. I love curry and we all LOVE mangos! I might have to try that, too.

Dawn,
Addison made it. It was a bit time consuming but very delicious! The curry and mango combo gave it heat & sweet. Yum!

I lucked out tonight. My ex husband is going out of town for two weeks on a hunting trip so he stopped by to take the boys to dinner before he left. He even invited Blake to go. :) They went to a new pizza place that's really good. So, I went to a lab, then came home and had a bowl of cereal!!! lol yum

Only one bowl and a spoon to clean up tonight. :)

Yvonne, if I could just borrow your kids for awhile?? lol I love mangos too. That sounds wonderful.

We ended up having BBQ chicken pizza and Natalie had leftovers. (the pizza is a bit spicy and she doesn't care for it - too much tabasco!)

I have to get out of my food rut. I like the website where your recipe was listed Yvonne - thanks!

We had meatloaf over the weekend, with mashed potatoes and mac and cheese and the best part....yummy rolls! We hadn't had a good homecooked meal in a week or two, so we all pigged out and it was great! LOL

I just got a book called Six 'O Clock Scramble. It has 365 recipes in it, divided up by seasons and then weeks. On the website, it has a pdf file that shows you the shopping lists, for each week.

The Scramble website

In there is a chicken-oregano-rosemary recipe, that I'd like to make, maybe on Sunday for Sarah's last meal here. We have fresh oregano and fresh rosemary, that we haven't used yet.

dh is going to the Cleve. Browns game tonight, so it's just the kids and I. I'm making Quesadillas. Easy, quick, and the kids actually will eat them!

We use Cooking Light recipes 90% of the time. They are healthy and tasty. We try a new recipe about once a week. If we like it, we print the recipe and add it to our recipe book.
