Need Help in finding uniform shorts/pants

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive July 2008: Need Help in finding uniform shorts/pants
By Dandjmom on Monday, July 14, 2008 - 03:02 pm:

My son will be attending a new school ( change in uniform color) this year and I would like to find and get him some pants and short with elastic waste.

Since he is only 4 I want to make his bathroom time at school as less complicated as can be for him, so he doesn't have to worry about trying to undue the buttons and have a accident.

I found some through a search on amazon but they where not available in a size 8. Thank you in advance for your help.

What color do you need?

Have you checked Land's End or JCPenneys? They both have several school uniforms. Good luck. Although I see the advantages of school uniforms (especially in higher grades) I'm glad mine done have to wear them (they did one year back with they were in K and 2nd grades).

Twill Shorts at LandsEnd.com

I don't know how strict your school is, but when I taught in a private school that required uniforms, these pants would have been acceptable, as long as they were navy blue or khaki in color.

Action Cargo Pant at Landsend.com

Trina I need Kakhi size 8.
I found some shorts at Land's End for 14.50 (72.50 for 5 pair) school re opens on 8/25 so I guess it will still be hot and he will need shorts so until maybe the end of Sept. I think it is too much but I haven't found anything else and that's what I would lime have him to have for my peace of mind and his as well.

So I just have to look for some pants now, they don't have to be uniform pants but they have to look like it you know? So I guess a twill type of pants will work?

I apprecicate this so much ladies thank you.

thanks Trina I'm going to Target after work and I think I will go with these shorts instead, since he will need them for such a short time. I'm not sire about there policy on the pants, so when I go to finish his enrollment on Thursday I'm going to take a picture of the pants you sent me and see if he can have those.

Do you have a mall with a "Children's Place"? I saw some cute different but uniform style clothes there on Saturday.

By Dandjmom on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 - 08:44 am:

I went to Target yesterday when I got off work and they had the shorts, and I was able to get a 6/7 and it fit (because if the elastic waist). I looked to see if they had pants but they didn't have any, so I'm going to print the picture off the link that Trina sent me and ask if he can have those. I went to Children's Place a few weeks ago and they had mostly summer clothes. they had regular uniforms. I will check back over the weekend they may have gotten in a new shipment since I was there. Thanks.

I know the target around here doesn't get the pants to the uniforms until Aug maybe Sept.. but you can normally get them online sooner.

Hope they work.
