Oh, MY! A daycare dad called me to tell me about this. I told him we'd stay inside today and he thanked me. It's probably within 30 miles of me. I've been to Serenity Springs and they really do have some cool cats--behind 12' fences! lol Hope they catch it soon and people don't loose pets to it.

They still haven't caught it! People from the big cat sanctuary and the zoo have joined the search now. There's a picture on KKTV's website that one eyewitness got on her cell phone. Now that they've given more names of streets and such, it's actually only about 10 miles from me. YIKES! I have a friend that lives very near there. I hope her dogs are inside. The poor lion is probably scared out of it's mind.

The news is saying that a wildlife expert has taken another look at the photos and says it may just be a large dog, but they're still looking for a lion. If you go to the link above it's updated. If you scroll down you can read comments. Some of those people are getting nasty! I must admit though, the one that says "The lion was last seen on Yellow Road with a scarecrow and a tin man!" is pretty funny.

Now tell me that they can't tell a LARGE cat from a Large Dog, I am pretty sure that the paw patterns are different between a cat and a dog. Those pictures don't look like any large dog I have ever seen, the tail isn't right.. They called off the search either way...

I like the yellow road one too.. And they are a bit snarky...

They did call off the search, but they've told residents to still remain cautious. Whatever. I live in a pretty dense residential area so I'm not concerned for me, but I do have several friends that live out where it's been spotted and all of them have animals, including horses and/or cows that can't just come in the house like dogs and cats. I'm sure we'll find out more tomorrow.

Bobbie, how about the one that says to direct it to Kansas and Dorothy would know what to do with it. Such a hoot! lol People are getting pretty defensive, though, understandably. I guess I just have a lighter (or maybe that's darker!) sense of humor.
