I just did a mystery shop program to rate Longhorn Steakhouse Restaurant, the company is called Focus on Service, I thought that i would pass this on to everyone in case any one of you would be interested in doing a mystery shop and getting reimbursed for it. It took three weeks but I received my check today. They pay you 30 dollars and if you return your survey promptly they will give you an additional 10 dollars so I received 40 dollars for my meal. I'm not sure if they have other restaurants that you can sign up for you would have to check that out. The website is focusonservice.com Just thought I would let everyone know!

How much did your meal actually cost. I ask this , because there are a lot of secret shopper programs out there, clothing, food, entertainment. But it's too my understanding that people do this because it is a way of making extra income, they actually earn money in doing this, not just get back what they spent for a meal, etc.

Our meal was 67.00 for the two of us. The reimbursment was for a portion of the cost of the meal. There was no extra earnings for doing the assignment. It is a flat rate of 30.00 plus the extra 10 for turning the survey in ontime.

Yes I received my e mail about doing a job at our local Longhorn, just waiting so see if I was accepted or not. this is what I've been told, Coming from someone that loves coupons and uses them all the time, I think it's a deal reimbursement of 30 dollars and possibly 40 if you return the survey in time. Actually you only spent 27.00 for a 67.00 meal. Thats how I see it.
I think mines my meal will be a little less with just me and the two kids I've looked over there kids menu as well as there regular one and from the prices I saw, I figure I will top out at around the 30ish dollar mark.
Thanks for the info and have they asked you to do anything else yet or gave you any indication that there will be other jobs( that's what they call them) in the future or was this a one time thing?

When I finished up my survey and sent the info in she asked for a few referrals saying that it would be some time before she would be able to schedule me again, I guess that they want to get a wide variety of opinions. I thought it was a good deal too and was happy to receive my check. Not bad at all I thought. Let me know how it goes!
