Milwaukee Brewers' Stitch 'n Pitch

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive July 2008: Milwaukee Brewers' Stitch 'n Pitch

I ordered the tickets today. We are going on Wednesday evening. We get to sit and knit, while we watch the Brewer's game, amongst other knitters, too! I've never been to Miller Park since it opened in April 2001 and I haven't been to a Brewer's game since I was in college! Partly lack of interest and partly the cost, is why I haven't been. I heard about Stitch 'n Pitch last year, too late to do anything about it. It's only once a summer.

Stitch 'n Pitch

I can't wait. We aren't going to tailgate. We'd have to go buy a small charcoal grill to do it, anyway. We used to have smokey joes, but we don't anymore. Instead, we are going to stop at Panera Bread and eat supper there. That will be a treat, too. We'll take pictures. I think I'm just going to make a simple dishcloth, because it will be a distracting environment! No fancy lace patterns for me!

Dawn - that sounds like fun! I am not a baseball fan (or any kind of sports, for that matter), but I do enjoy a live game. I like to "people watch" while DH is watching the game. I love to looei"story" is. Everybody has one.

Ironically, I always bring my knitting. Once, we went to a Paw Sox game (the farm club for the Boston Red Sox) and I had to take my knitting bag back to the car because the guard was afraid that I would use it to smuggle snacks in. Horrors! LOL!

I think that Stitch and Pitch is a wonderful idea. Have fun!!

Someone in my knitting email group, wrote that we can bring in unopened plastic bottled drinks, in a small cooler. I'd seen that on the Miller Park website, too. Maybe we'll just do that. I think we might all get a hotdog at some point, since that is a traditional ballpark food! LOL!

That sounds like fun! I can see why it may be hard to concentrate, though!

Oh what a blast! I went to the link and it said needlecrafts, so I'm guessing that I could take my quilting too. I can't go this year, but I just might try to make it next year. Sounds fun!

Yeah, I think "stitches" could be just about anything!

I reread my post and I don't know WHAT happened. I meant to say that I love to watch people in a ball park and try to figure out their story.

I like to watch people, too!
