Anyone ever vacation around the Silver Lakes area in Michigan? We are thinking of going there this summer but want to know what there is to do around there. We know of the dunes and of one lighthouse but anything else?

South of the dunes is Michigan Adventure amusement and water parks. We went to the dunes last August (I've lived in MI my whole life and it was my first time on the west coast) it's beautiful and basically your normal tourist attractions, consisting mostly of shops and beaches, lots of beaches. We had a riot, rented a jeep to take on the dunes, they are amazing. You will find plenty to do.
