Well we were in our first offical tornato this evening. We had a tornato go right over our home. We were at my brothers house having dinner. Dd and I went home to put the dogs in because it was beginning to rain. as we are heading back it started raining real hard and hail. we run into db house and the sirens went off and the police drive thru the neighbor hood yelling over there loud speaker that a tornato is on the ground seek shelter now. so we get the kids in the bathroom with a mattress over them and we stood out in the hall. Well it quit raining so dil and I went outside to see and we seen the tornato it went right over my neighborhood. I have some awesome pictures.(i'll try to download later). after we got the all clear I went home expecting the worse. but all was fine it touched down about 2 blocks from my home we got alot of debris. There were 3 homes damage our industrial part was damaged and a barn was totaled. but we are all okay just shook up and amazed of what nature can do

Marie, where in Oklahoma do you live? We live outside of Oklahoma City in Edmond. We were in the bathroom on Wednesday with a tornado touching down very close to us. We have lived here for almost 2 yrs., and have spent our share of time huddled in the bathroom. We are seriously considering putting a shelter in the floor of our garage.

Yikes! That's pretty scary. I was in a tornado, when I was 4-1/2 (September 1963), but I don't think it was really all that close to my house. We were fine.

I'm glad you are all okay!
