Today I needed to take my dd to school early, she needed to be there by 7 am, I work in a school cafeteria. I got up today, got showered, dressed and headed out the door, took my dd to school, left and pumped gas, was able to go home to do a few things before I needed to be at work, got to work clocked in and it was only then that I realized that I had two different shoes on!!! I had opened up my closet put on the work shoe, didn't pay attention to the other shoe I was putting on and slipped on another shoe from another pair!! Of course everyone died laughing, and one person called me happy feet the entire day! My working partner made sure to point out to all of the teachers that I had two different shoes on so that they could check it out. I sheepishly showed everyone that asked my predicament! Although I refused to go out to fill up the plastic ware with two different shoes, so I borrowed my friends shoe to go out where the kids were to fill the plastic! What a crazy day, I need for it to be summer vacation soon apparently!!!

Lol! Mom2three, I have done the same thing! I was rushing to leave for work one day and quickly put my black pumps (or so I thought) in a tote and left with snow boots on my feet. When I went to put my dress shoes on at work, I had one black pump and one navy blue! I felt so self conscience every time I had to leave the counter area and help customers on the floor. Lucky for me, both shoes had the same size heel, lol.
I bet you made a lot of people smile today, as I think most of us have crazy days like your's.:-)

I bet they were thinking "i'm glad i'm not the only one" :)

Nicki, i'm glad both shoes had the same size heel! :)

I put 2 different kinds of tennis shoes on one morning at 7:15 am and went EVERYWHERE--dd to school, Wal-mart, did several errands, helped at school, took dd to tumbling, etc. At 9:15 PM!!!, I realized that I had the 2 different shoes on. I felt so dumb. One was solid white like a walking shoes, and the other was blue, gray, and black like a running shoe with a lot more sole. How I never noticed that I was walking lopsided, I'll never know.

I have done this twice. You would think I would have learned to pay more attention the first time. Mine was quite obvious. I have a pair of those dark brown leather (Earth Shoe) mules (the kids call them hippy shoes) and I have a/2 pair(s) of Born mules that look like and Indian blanket(s). Bright red, blue, green etc weaved threading, very bright, very comfy.. I walked out with a brown shoe on one foot and a Indian blanket on the other. I went all over town and didn't even realize until I was sitting in the driveway once I got back home...... Rob was with me, the kids all saw me before I left, and no one noticed. IT was quite obvious as I said. The bad thing, the indian blanket shoes have a thick ridged winter sole, the brown ones have hardly any sole. I noticed I had walked funny but I thought it was my fibro messing with me and I didn't even look down... Even mentioned to Rob I felt odd when I walked.. LOL I felt like such a boob and it is so out of my character.. Kids loved it though and they double check me now..

I have two pairs of Skecher sneakers. One has some red trim on it, but mostly white. The other pair has blue trim on it. They really don't look alike, but the feel alike, so I picked Emily up from school, in a mixed pair once. I never knew until I happened to look down.

The only reason I noticed then was because I was taking them off. I walked into the kitchen and showed my dh and dd. They both laughed so hard at me. I wondered if anybody noticed during the day and were trying to be polite and not mention it.

I only noticed in the car because my cell phone rang and I looked down as I was getting my phone out of my purse and I was like what the heck...
