A few years ago, you posted a message about trying a body wrap to lose some inches. (I'm 99.9% it was you!) You were happy with the results, and were still happy a little while afterwards. What was the long term effect? Did you ever go back again?
Was it an ionithermie treatment? I had a treatment on the cruise, and when I got back home I could fit into a pair of jeans that I had bought with the hopes of losing weight and fitting into them.
It's been several weeks since the treatment, and suddenly the jeans are too tight again. I haven't changed my eating, so it's not a case of gaining weight. They sold the stuff on the ship, but I didn't want to put the money out. Now I'm thinking it might be a good idea!

Help! :)

Yes, that was me. WOW, you have a great memory. Most of the women do. I can't remember who posted what even during the time I am typing (you think I'm being sarcastic, I'm not. I always have to go back and read the names again before I hit the post button)

And yes, it worked great! I never went back for another treatment. However, about 3 or 4 months later (still fitting my "thin" jeans) I had the motivation to start a workout program and was eating and exercizing everyday. I lost weight/inches and went back down to a size 6. Then I got pregnant. So I didn't get fatter again until that happened.

For me it was well worth the expense ($100 back then) and I would do it again in a heart beat. I forget the name of the place I went to. But they wrapped me. I didn't purchase the product to do at home.

Was it the same treatment I'm talking about? I have to buy a TENS machine for some arthritis in my back, and they used TENS to make the stuff more effective. I figure I might as well use it for both!

I wasn't actually wrapped. She did body brushing, then put the oil on me. The seaweed/clay stuff was under me on the table, and then over me when I laid down. She used creams afterwards. I felt great!

Ok, I'm curious now! What kind of wrap is it? Is there a specific type that one should get? I've always wanted to try a body wrap, and when I was preparing to go to a ball I asked the owner of the tanning salon, because his wife did wraps. He said that for someone who is on the thin size, it wouldn't do much, but that seems silly. I've also gained a little weight since then, so now it sounds VERY enticing.

Here's some info about the treatment I had. I'm assuming it's the same one...

detox

They sound nothing alike. I was wrapped in ace bandages that were soaked in something, then I was wrapped in celephane and did light exercises for I think 30 min. Light as in moving your arms, kicking you legs, stepping around. You are so wrapped, that moving is not easy.

I think the business was called Slender Wraps or something similar.

Thanks, Dana. I'll have to look that one up.
