Is Discovery Cove in Orlado worth the $$$? We are planning on taking the kids to Orlando in October and going to Disney but I also wanted my kids to be able to snorkel (dh and i love to do this and do it at least 1X per year). My youngest dd really wants to swim with the dolphins. both of these things look like they are options at Discovery Cove but it is a bit pricey $289/person. Includes all the encounters (except being a dolphin trainer for the day), all your food and beverages for the day, towels wet suit.... I am wondering if anyone knows if it even comes close to being worth the $$

Never have been there personally, but I watched an in depth show on it on the Travel Channel and I think it is totally worth it. In a couple of years, we are going to do it. It isn't just the dolphins, it's all the animals you get hands on with. I think it looks amazing!

Yes it is worth the money! We went a couple years ago. Really fun, relaxed pace, not crowded. I want to go again, you also get 7 days admission to seaworld I think, so that takes some of the sting away.

We went a few yrs ago too and loved it - it's so beautiful. I doubt we'll be going back again since it's so expensive but we'll never forget the experience of swimming w/dolphin, etc.
