Q and U get married in kindergarten class

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive March 2008: Q and U get married in kindergarten class
By Dawnk777 on Sunday, March 2, 2008 - 12:20 pm:

I just read this, in our local paper! The kindergarten class, thought the letters should get "married", since q and u are always together in certain words. They even had a picture of the little girl and the little boy, who got to hold the "Q" and "U", during the "wedding."

The Q had a drawn-on top hat and the U had a drawn-flower headdress. The principal said the vows. They had cake and punch at the reception and blew bubbles in the hallway, while they paraded around the school. Isn't that adorable?

A "QU"ality Marriage

I have a friend that has taught kindergarten for years and has a "Q-U" wedding every year. Everyone dresses up, and her dh even comes to school in his tux. Too cute!

I taught K for seven years and somehow completely missed this idea until recently! It was in our local newspaper as well, just a few weeks ago, and totally new to me. A really cute idea!

I think it's a great idea! I love that the teacher got the idea from the kids and ran with it!

My sister had a wedding in her class as well. She also has made several REAL wedding cakes for friends and family (she made mine) and made a real wedding cake for her class as well. So cute.

Perhaps you should say it's really Q-ute :)

If I had my son's 1st grade teacher's email address, i would totally send this to her. How adorable! This sounds like something she would do.
