Ran into an old friend today

So I was in the grocery store when I heard "excuse me" in this DEEP voice and I'm thinking "o.k., who is talking to me?" guessing he'd say "where is the mayonnaise or something like that. Instead this very tall, good looking man goes "is your name Patti?" LOL I look at him and nod while going thru the rolodex in my brain thinking "who is this guy?" then the light bulb went off "Bob!" i say.

It was a guy I worked with at Arby's when I was in high school. I had not seen him in like 13 years! (wow, am I that old?)
I was so happy to see him and so glad he said something to me.
We actually live in the same small city, i'm surprised it took us so long to run into each other. When we left we said "maybe we will run into each other in another 10 years!" LOL
He was actually one of my buddies at Arby's. We had a lot of fun together.

I'm glad he recognized me after all these years.:)

Cool! It's fun to bump into old friends, and sometimes it's quite interesting. LOL! This past summer we stopped at a rest area on the way home from vacation. DD and I were walking out of the ladies room when I heard someone shouting my first and maiden name. smileyshocked DD said, "Mom, that guy over there is waving at you." I looked over, and there was a former boyfriend, one who had proposed over 20 yrs. ago. It was a little awkward, and what were the chances of us being at the same rest area at the same time?! LOL!

I like running into old classmates, co workers, friend's etc. It's feels to see people you havnet' seen in a while and catch up in the little time it takes to pump your gas, etc. And another good thing about running into someone you haven't seen in 10, 20 or more years and have them recognize you, that tells me that I have aged gracefully in the past 10, 20 or so years.

That's exactly what I thought, DandJmom! I was thinking, well I must not look to different. :)
