The kids received gifts and candy.
Valentine's used to mean jewelry. I have asked hubby to stop giving it to me. It just sits in my jewelry box. LOL.
Nowdays, I just want to do work on the house. I bought a vanity for my bathroom remodel, I told him that would be my Valentine's day gift

I emailed my dh today saying that my Valentine's gift - Jordan - five years ago was so big and so special that it should last him a lifetime. He replied back "any my gift to you .. my eternal good looks.. will last you a lifetime, too"

We both are really big on surprising each other on this day, so I sneeked into the bedroom and ordered something from the florist for him.The card says" Roses are red, violets are blue, happy Valentines Day to the three of us,you me and the FLU !!! Dh has to work late tonight so we'll have a late dinner together after the kids are in bed. I made heart shaped pancakes for the kids this morning and I've got a batch of valentine M&M cookies in the oven now. I think the family is going to see a movie tomorrow as a family celebration...maybe the Spiderwick Chronicles.

My hubby is working late too. I planned to do fondue with the two of us, cheese and chocolate and salads. But I think he will be too late for that. Oh well, most of that stuff will keep. I am having my salad now though, if he is home by 10 we will still have chocolate

However, I did have my bb practice tonight. One of my boys (4th grade) brought me a box of chocolate. It was so sweet, I almost cried. It really made my night.

I have the best DH on earth... He never got away to get me anything (It is kinda hard for us because we work at the same place and eat lunch together every day too), and I really didn't expect anything Today he called me in his office and asked me if it was okay if we didn't get my present until tomorrow night because he really wanted me to pick it out... Since he is getting me an ipod touch!!!!! I am sooo excited.. I love my ipod mini but it is getting kinda old and actually a little too small for everything i like to keep on it..

The reason we didn't go tonight is because we went to a dinner theater for my oldest DD's theater class. Which was awesome and a lot of fun..

I had to brag on my DH.. he is such a sweetie.. normally I don't get much of anything for Valentines Day.

Hubby and I went out to our favorite coffeeshop for lunch today. I had vegetarian chili and a chai latte. We hadn't been there in a while, so that was a treat!

Dh set up our babysitter for last night, so we could go out without our dks. We usually don't go out for Valentine's Day, so I was suprised. We had a a great dinner, and a margarita at On the Border, then we went to see Jumper at the movies. Dh and I really liked it. The boys had a great time playing WII and Guitar Heros with the babysitter. So, everyone had a fun night!

I had my first valentines day with my new boyfriend and he was awesome. He drives a truck so was stuck up in Nebraska but I got 3 deliveries. I got a rose dipped in 24K gold, a pajama gram of silk boxers and tank, and a vermont teddy bear holding flowers that say Happy Valentines Day.

We find out in a couple hours if he's heading this way for the weekend, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
