My sister's wedding....

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive February 2008: My sister's wedding....
By Rayelle on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 - 05:56 pm:

My parents decided to go ahead and let my sister have her wedding. It was moved up from July to May. I am happy they are doing this. It's very complicated but this whole situation has allowed me to finally, truly come to peace with alot in that aspect of my life. I'm still not in the wedding because my parents think since I wasn't happy before I shouldn't get to be in it now or whatever their sense of logic is. I can help my sister in other ways.

I'm thinking her original wedding date would be a great day to have the baby shower. She has been looking forward to this date for 2 years and it would still have excitement. My mother and sister both loved this idea. I'm beginning to think I am abnormally excited about these babies! With all this new found sense of peace lately I feel only love in my heart.

Rayelle, that is good to hear, on both parts. I think the May date would be a GREAT day for a shower. And I say WHATEVER to your parents. They created the drama by being unrealistic, unreasonable, over grown children themselves and if your sister wanted you to be in the wedding it is truly rude for them to interject their opinions in the situation. I mean really... She apparently wasn't to worried about their opinions when she moved in with the boyfriend, got herself pregnant and decided she wanted the wedding with our with out their approval. I would walk in that church that day full of great cheer and pride, even if all I was going to do was sit in a pew.. LOL nonsense.. Better mark all this down in your not to do when your children are grown... (((HUGS))) it always comes out in the wash..
