Car accident

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive January 2008: Car accident
By Paulas on Sunday, January 20, 2008 - 12:33 pm:

Wow..when it rains it pours. They say what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. I should be flippin Herculus!

We had a car accident last night on the way back from a hockey game. Luckily, no one was hurt but the car has extensive damage. The hood, bumper, lights, and two doors will have to be replaced. That's just what seems to be damaged with the naked eye. I don't know what else. A deer jumped out of the ditch and ran right in to us.

We are supposed to be moving this weekend. DH starts a new job this week. Plus, his depression is in full swing and this did NOT help.

Oh well...nothing we can do about it.

Argh. Been there done that, three times! Ouch. Even with so many deer killed during hunting season, there are still some to run out in front of cars.

So sorry. A few weeks ago my girls hit a hog and did the same.

They were fine though.

I'm so sorry to hear this, but relieved that you are not hurt. I wish I could do more than simply send a hug.

A couple of weeks ago, a friend of ours doubled over in pain and fell to the floor. He then went in to a seizure, and he doesn't have even have seizures, so that was a total shock. He was alone, and barely was able to get to the phone to call 911.He stayed in ICU for a few days, and they found out that he had menengitis. The day after his wife brought him home from the hospital, she had a wreck and totalled their truck! It fractured her back very badly, and fractured some bones in her skull, plus some more stuff. So, not to at all try to make your situation look like it isn't serious, because it definately is! And I am glad that y'all are all right, but just thought I would share this with you :)

Wow, Wandilu, will keep them in my prayers.

Oh Paula, you can't catch a break to save your life lately! Consider yourself covered in hugs and prayers. I'm so thankful that you weren't hurt.

I just want to say, from personal experience, that just when you think you cannot POSSIBLY take ANY more - things will start that uphill climb. I am not, by any means, trying to minimize all that you have been through/are going through. But I truly do understand your frustration and your feelings and I know it seems like nothing positive is happening in your life at this point. But please, Paula, hang in there. You are due for a change.
