Hi, last night dh went to my parents after work and helped my dad with haying, their was not much for me to do, so I started painting mom's house. She picked black with white trim. Which she painted it that the last time. I was trying to get her to change it, but it did not work. I got half of the back of the house done last night, and I will work on the other half tonight when I go out that way to pick up dh from work. Dad said mom is working like a slave cleaning up the yard, she pressure washed the house and all the patio's, which is a yearly thing to do anyway, but she wants everything spiffy for july 16th which is dad's birthday, and my dh birthday is on the 17th they always celebrate together and since it is dad's 65th birthday he wants to have a huge party and have every one camp out in his back yard, it is really nice out in the back yard, mom converted her inground swimming pool into a fish pond, and she has a waterfall, and flowers all around it, looks awesome. So mom has been getting a bit winded latley so I am taking over doing the house, she is trying to help dad with the haying and doing all the inside scrubbing and all of the gardens, they have 5 acres. Dad said to me last night that woman just works like a slave, and she just won't slow down!! She did look relieved when I told her to give me the paint, she was so happy, but she still puttered around in the yard, while I did the house, I told her to sit at the patio table and relax, then she said but I will get bored! :) just a little update on what I will be doing for the next little while.

That is so nice of you. She does sound like she works as hard as 5 people!

Yes she is unbeilveable, one time, they went away and we tryed to do the lawns and the gardens, and I came away exhausted, it is all so much work. She also has 5 horses, that she groomes, cleaning the barns, etc.. Mom and dad have have a fence post pounding business, and mom works right by dad's side, she picks up posts that are 4-5 inches around , which are blinking heavy. she is quite the woman. I just called her and told her not to touch the house that I would be out after work, to finish the back of the house, and she was so cheery it was not funny. It is just one thing she does not have to worry about.

well just a update on my painting. I have got the back of the house done, and part of the front, I can not do the front untill evening as the sun blares on the siding. I am having a hard time painting the high spots , so you will not guess what my dad is going to make me do. Mom and dad have a fencing business, and dad has a tractor, dad got this long pipe and he welded some brackets to it, to hold a plastic barrel, ( thick plastic) he made a frame for the bucket to sit on, it. You connect this pipe to the front end loader, as he lifts the front end loader the pipe goes up with the loader and you are extended up to whatever it is you are trying to reach. It is a pretty good idea, he actually made this thing so he could hoist dh up in the air to the tree's along his driveway so dh could cut the branches off. So I guess I get to go up in this thing tommorrow, dad was joking the other day and he said I have an idea, bring your bathsuit and I will put water in the barrel that way you will stay nice and cool while you paint!! what an imagination eh? I am a little nervous as it does not look like a very smooth ride on the way back down to the ground, going up seems fine, kind of like being at the circus. wish me luck!!
