By Colette on Sunday, January 13, 2008 - 01:03 pm:

we are getting 15 inches of snow tonight.

I want it to be spring!!

By Pamt on Sunday, January 13, 2008 - 01:17 pm:

Not me! I just love, love, love the snow!!! It's snowing at a pretty good clip right now and we got about 3 additional inches to what we already had last night. We have had continual snow cover since 12/1. Everyone keeps telling me I will get tired of it. Hasn't happened yet!

By Trina~moderator on Sunday, January 13, 2008 - 02:15 pm:

Yes Colette, I'm predicting NO SCHOOL tomorrow.

By Dawnk777 on Sunday, January 13, 2008 - 03:42 pm:

We got a smidgeon of snow the other day and it's quickly melting. Sarah got 3 inches in Oshkosh yesterday. We only got snow flurries. She lives more in the center of the state, while at school. We live on the eastern edge.

We've had a few snow flurries today, too, but it's probably not going to amount to much.

With 15 inches of snow predicted, I would guess no school, too.

We have green grass in Ontario, but it's supposed to snow all week. I'm enjoying the break, after the huge amounts we had last month!

By Conni on Sunday, January 13, 2008 - 04:50 pm:

I wish we could get some snow in Arkansas. I may have to break down and take my kids to Colorado or New Mexico soon. So we can play in the snow.

By Ginny~moderator on Sunday, January 13, 2008 - 05:01 pm:

Come-on, Collette. You live in New England and it's January. What did you expect? I share your wish for Spring, though Winter hasn't been bad for us so far, here in SE PA. We are expecting a few inches of snow tonight, maybe, but nothing to worry about, and it will probably melt by mid-day.

By Angellew on Sunday, January 13, 2008 - 05:59 pm:

Yup... I'm also predicting a "no school" day for tomorrow, which means a no work day for mommy!!! My mother picks my DD up from school every day and keeps her until I come home from work. I'm certainly not making her drive over here in the morning. The worst of the snow will be during the morning commute!!!

I'm still trying to talk my husband into a Desert Retirement!!! The fisherman in him is putting up a fight though! :)

By Dawnk777 on Sunday, January 13, 2008 - 09:11 pm:

Snowing here now, too! It's a long ways to spring! I keep looking at my eager-beaver daffodils, since it's been so warm, but so far they haven't started sprouting yet. Sometimes they peek out, awfully early!

We aren't supposed to get much, according to weather underground. I know the last time I was upstairs to peek outside, the driveway was white, but the sidewalks were just wet.

By Wandilu on Sunday, January 13, 2008 - 10:01 pm:

Last week we had a very light snow-flurries that fell for MAYBE 10 minutes, and I got all excited!! We probably won't get any snow this year either :(

By Colette on Sunday, January 13, 2008 - 10:17 pm:

203 school cancellations so far, but not for us...

and it's not even snowing yet...

By Dawnk777 on Monday, January 14, 2008 - 12:14 am:

Keep us posted, Collette!

By Karen~admin on Monday, January 14, 2008 - 06:27 pm:

I think I'll chuck my job and go visit Pamt for a snow-fix. As much as I don't like cold weather, I'd LOVE to play in some snow for a few days.

Our temps here this week are supposed to be in the 50's each day - that's chilly for my area. LOL We had a handful of nights that were below freezing, and I'm wondering if this is *it* for our *winter*.

By Pamt on Monday, January 14, 2008 - 07:36 pm:

Yay!! Come on up Karen. This weekend and next week are not the best times though. Our low is supposed to be -12 (without the windchill) and our highs will be in the single digits. Today was in the 20s and beautifully sunny though!

By Colette on Monday, January 14, 2008 - 07:40 pm:

I would be so happy if we would get back to the 50's...

Actually they predicited incorrectly for this storm and we only got about 10 inches and it's light and powdery so not to much of a problem.

By Dawnk777 on Monday, January 14, 2008 - 09:55 pm:

10 inches is still enough snow! Light and powdery is good!

By Bobbie~moderatr on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 - 11:47 am:

It has snowed here since Sunday night/Monday morning. We only have a few inches but it was enough to run us on a two hour delay this morning. Supposed to be nice tomorrow and then snow through Sunday. Praise God for four wheel drive and a snow blower. They are the best investments I have made in a long long time. LOL

Stay safe to all that are dealing with the deep snows we have had over the last few days.
