HELP HP Digital Camera and photo printer

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive January 2008: HELP HP Digital Camera and photo printer
By Tonya on Thursday, January 3, 2008 - 03:34 pm:

We (sister, brother and me) bought our parents a HP digital camera and photo printer combo from Wal-mart for the holidays and I bought 1 for Rich as well.

My father got it all together plugged it in and the laungage somehow set its self to Chinese and we cannot get it to go back to English.

We called HP and for 45 minutes the women helped him try to figure it out but no luck. I have called 10 Wal-Marts and they are all out and not restocking.

Does anyone have any experience with these and can you please help me!!!

From Yahoo answers:

How to change HP M1005 dialogue language?
I'm connected to HP M1005 printer using normal switch to another computer.
Yesterday, I change the non-unicode to Chinese (PRC), after that I realized that my printer properties and printer dialogue also change to Chinese character. Then I restore the system using English (US) but the printer properties and dialogue remain in Chinese. - I'm frustrated...... anybody can help????

OK.....got the solution......

Start>Setting>Printer & Faxes
File>Server properties
Ports>....delete the unwanted printer connection port
Drivers>....delete the unwanted printer driver

Add new printer again

I guess this way, it really delete the previous driver installed...

Thanks for the idea of 'un-installing'

I'll go take a peek at the printer options, on the HP we have upstairs.
