We got in last night and are heading to the French Quarter / Jackson Square in a minute. Rain showers predicted all day, but we have umbrellas. I hope everyone is ready for Santa.

Bea, be sure to go to Cafe Dumonde for beignets and coffee!

If you will be eating in the city tonight, Red Fish Grill, Mr. B's, Tony Moran's, Palace Cafe are all excellent. They are in the quarter/on Canal St.

Stop in Pat O'Briens for a hurricane! They also make GREAT bloody marys.

There are some great galleries and antique shops in the Quarter as well.
