We have an ice day!

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive December 2007: We have an ice day!

Urrrrggg.. the kids already have an ice day!! We had freezing rain yesterday, and all last night. We lost power for most of the night. It was in the 20's, so we moved our mattress in front of the gas fireplace to keep warm. We are suppose to get at least another 1/2 inch today, so who knows how long we will have power. Dh went into work, against my better judgement. I hope he can get home. Oh well, he may be sleeping there!!

I guess we are going to make Christmas cookies today!

Hope everyone else is having better weather.

Cloudy in the morning. Becoming partly sunny this afternoon. Highs in the mid 20s. West winds up to 5 mph shifting to the southwest.

So, it sounds better than yours! I would get out of school, if we had a snow day, but I would still have to go to my clinic job. I only live about a 5-minute walk, from my clinic job, though. If the city stops running the buses, though, then even the clinic closes. The one time it happened last year, though, I was already there, when they closed it! LOL!

I hope your power stays on.

Have fun baking cookies! My sis is in Tulsa and they were iced in yesterday, with power out, etc...

We typically get the same weather as her just about 1/2 a day later. But it turns out we just got rain. My kids were sooooo hoping for ice. There is still a chance, it's 32* now. lol

Have a good day.
