Not sure how many New Yorkers are on this board outside of Ame. DH has a company setting up an interview with him that's located in Delhi, NY. I've located it on mapquest, but have only started doing research.

Anyone know about this area at all? Anything at all would be helpful. Just wanted real life thoughts to go along with our research. Thank you TIA

Hi Deanna:
Delhi is about 2 and a half hours north of me, so that would put you about 3 and a half hours north of New York City.
It's part of the Catskill region which is beautiful. Lots of land, lots of inexpensive housing (for NY ), lakes, mountains, the country life ... Not much opportunity for employment but if you have that covered ...
Also lots of snow and rural roads.

I don't think I've been there, but what I read sounds great.

LOL that's what the headhunter said..."affordable" living. Ha! That's definitely relative. Probably very affordable compared to other areas in NY, but still SKY high compared to here.

The area sounds right up our ally though - we're country bumpkins and want to stay that way if possible. The snow sounds fantastic. (Unless of course I can't afford my heat bill because my mortgage is so high. )
