How true is this?(For the dog lover)

---
My dogs live here, they're here to stay.
You don't like pets? Be on your way!
They share my home, my food, my space
This is their home, this is their place.
You will find dog hair on the floor,
They will alert "You're at the door!"
They may request a little pat,
A simple "No!" will settle that.
It gripes me when I hear you say;
"Just how is it you live this way?
They smell, they shed, they're in the way.. " WHO ASKED YOU? is all I
can say.
They love me more than anyone,
My voice is like the rising sun,
They merely have to hear me say
"C'mon girls, time to go and play!"
Then tails wag and faces grin,
They bounce and hop and make a din.
They never say "No time for you",
They're always there, to GO and DO.
And if I'm sad They're by my side,
And if I'm mad? they circle wide.
And if I laugh, they laugh with me
They understand, they always see.
So once again, I say to you come visit me,
But know this too..
My dogs live here, they're here to stay.
You don't like pets, be on your way.
They share my home, my food, my space
This is their home, this is their place!

I'd say it's very true for dog-owners. If I didn't want to live this way, I wouldn't have a dog! I guess it would be nice if my car windows always stayed clean and my seats weren't full of dog hair, but she gets so much pleasure from coming along in the car, so come along she does!

Love that! Thanks for posting it.

I love that, too, and ditto on it being true. DH and I were talking the other day about how I may complain sometimes that ultimately dogs ruin your carpet and your furniture, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I couldn't have dogs that didn't participate with the 'family' like we all do. I'm only happy when there's a dog on my lap, under my table, in the car, in my bed, walking beside me....just about everywhere. :)

I just love that! My mom always comments on the "dog smell" in our house. It drives me crazy because our dogs are completely house trained. They only use the bathroom outside. And they are clean animals. My dad smokes constantly in the house, but I don't dare mention their "smoke smell"!

I love my animals, and couldn't ever be happy without them. I go looking for my girl if I wake up and she isn't sleeping at my feet! And our other dog sleeps with my ds. We call Ashton Scuffy's boy.

I have never been without animals. I grew up with them, worked with them, and consider them family.

Yes, my car would be cleaner if I didn't take Brandy for rides. She just has to give me "that look" and I take her. We have them for such a short time, yet they have such an impact on our lives.

Thank you for the poem! I will be forewarding it to some of my friends.

I woke up today and couldn't find Jasmine. She actually slept downstairs by Gary! She never does that! LOL! Of course, over the past few days, he was "cheese curd man!" The cheese curds he was sharing are gone now, so we'll see where she sleeps tonight!

Gary's been sleeping downstairs, because his allergies have been bothering him.
