that I send my three little kids to dh's house for a week. They are ages 13,12 and 10. 16 year old dd is going with boyfriend and his family to AL to visit inlaws.
I packed up his mom's china for him to take because he felt the kids would feel more comfortable eating off of "familiar plates". I know it's just an excuse for him to take it...whatever.
I leave on Tuesday for Boston to spend a week with my sister, bil, friends and family.
I sort of wish that I never agreed to go but things are done.
Dh is supposed to be here between 1 and 2pm. I will hate to see my kids go but I want this part over with....

I think it is great that you are getting out of there and spending the time with your friends and family. Personally, I would feel so alone and sad just dwelling on the fact that my kids were with him. Going away is a great thing for you in my opinion! I hope you use the time to enjoy yourself!

That being said, I am sure this is a sad time for you. You're strong and will be ok! You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.
