What's for dinner?

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive November 2007: What's for dinner?
By Colette on Friday, November 16, 2007 - 02:55 pm:

It's chilly here, so dh is making moroccan chicken w/olives, whole wheat french bread and salad for dinner. Who else is cooking tonight?

By Vicki on Friday, November 16, 2007 - 03:19 pm:

Your dinner sounds better than ours. LOL We are having sloppy joes, peas and broccoli cheddar rice!

By Debbie on Friday, November 16, 2007 - 03:21 pm:

Dh and I are both sick, and the boys are both spending the night with a friend. So, we will be ordering something that can be delivered, or having soup, or something easy. Neither one of us feels like cooking.

By Enchens on Friday, November 16, 2007 - 03:34 pm:

I cooked last night so we're having leftovers: green beans, mashed potatoes, salmon with sumac, and dessert. I'll figure out dessert later.

By Breann on Friday, November 16, 2007 - 03:36 pm:

Boring spaghetti tonight!

By Yjja123 on Friday, November 16, 2007 - 03:53 pm:

Stuffed shells and garlic bread.

By Reds9298 on Friday, November 16, 2007 - 03:55 pm:

Taco ring for us....and Breann...spaghetti is NOT boring :):) I could eat it 3 nights a week. My favorite...YUMMY! (I know, I'm weird:))

By Annie2 on Friday, November 16, 2007 - 04:38 pm:

Pizza for us. A new place opened up down the street and it's very good.

By Trina~moderator on Friday, November 16, 2007 - 04:46 pm:

Take Out, but not sure what kind yet.

By Cocoabutter on Friday, November 16, 2007 - 05:02 pm:

I have no clue. :)

You can spice up a spaghetti dinner by adding ground beef and fresh garlic. There are all sorts of different things to do with sghetti.

By Happynerdmom on Friday, November 16, 2007 - 05:21 pm:

Homemade chicken and noodles. The chicken has been cooking all day in the crockpot and smells sooo good! We usually eat out on Fridays, but are counting our pennies this month, so I'm cooking. I purposely made something extra yummy for tonight so I wouldn't miss eating out :)

By Jelygu on Friday, November 16, 2007 - 05:51 pm:

Happy birthday Andi!!! My husband and my oldest son are going to see a football game, so it's just me and the baby. I'm having special K for dinner... LOL!

By Mrsheidi on Friday, November 16, 2007 - 06:27 pm:

I went to a "make and take" place over a week ago, so we're taking the Lime Pork out of the bag and putting it in the oven!!
$200 for 13 meals and there are plenty for leftovers, so it's like having 26 meals for our whole family! And, I don't have any leftover decaying ingredients in my fridge or spices I'll never use again.
I love those places!!!!!!!!! :)

Chili in the crockpot for us. It's our last football practice, which means the last time until baseball season that I will have to rely on the crockpot for our evening meals! :)

Happy Birthday Andi!
Cocoabutter - on spaghetti, I aLWAYS use ground beef and fresh garlic. I didn't know there was any other way, LOL :).

Tomorrow I'm throwing a pot roast in the crock pot all day while we finished our Christmas decorating.

Tonight was Chinese buffet, but earlier in the week, we had Parmesan chicken (breading was corn flake crumbs, Parmesan cheese, and minced garlic.) Yum!

We also had peas and a jello with cranberry sauce and pineapple in it.

By Conni on Saturday, November 17, 2007 - 09:33 am:

Happy Birthday, Andi!!

We had lasagna and french bread last night for dinner.

Tonight we are having beef stew and corn bread.

We're having shortcut lasagna: spaghetti sauce with ground beef, cheese ravioli and shredded mozzarella layered and baked with french bread and a green salad.

By Tsa on Saturday, November 17, 2007 - 10:55 pm:

Moroccan Chicken sounds good. Can you please post the recipe???
Shortcut Lasagna sounds really good and easy a family pleaser. I'm going to try that tomorrow.
Tonite was parm. crusted pork cutlets with buttered noodles and peas.
