Negativity

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive November 2007: Negativity
By Christylee on Monday, November 5, 2007 - 12:26 am:

Negativity really brings you down, it can really affect every area of your life.

Name at least FIVE things you are thankful for!

1. My son is happy being himself, he's turning into a really well rounded young man (sure he's only six but I've seen BIG changes here lately)

2. As of right now my health is good!

3. I have a supportive network of friends and family who I can go to for advice or a sympathetic ear.

4. I have a job that I enjoy, a roof over my head, and a car in the driveway. I can honestly say that I got all these things on my own. (Wow, that feels great to say!!!)

5. I was off this weekend and got TONS of things done around the house and even made a trip to the park for some fun with my boy.

I've been trying to change my way of thinking and sometimes it does us all some good to really think about the positive things in our lives.

I can't wait to read what you all come up with!

By Dawnk777 on Monday, November 5, 2007 - 12:37 am:

1. I have a nice cozy house, that will keep me warm and secure, when the big winds hit tomorrow! (25-35mph with some gusts up to 45 mph possible!)

2. That the furnace in said house is clean and functional.

3. That we have the ingredients to make chili, so we don't have to go out anymore after I pick Emily up from school. (pray the power doesn't go out, though.)

4. I have a happy and healthy family.

5. That I have a great circle of friends.

Life is hard, but there is always a little sun shining if you look for it.

Something think about. A co-worker said this to me yesterday. "Hurting people hurt people."
And negativity begets negativity.
