I don't know what you call this part of the chair, but it is like plant fiber and woven or strung to make the seat of the chair. Shaker style chairs might have this.

Anyway, DS was in big boy pants and peed in the chair. I have no clue how to clean it. I would think it would ruin if I hose it down. I'm about to do just that, but thought I'd check here first.

The chair is not antique or anything. Just that fiber string that seems would rot if I soaked it with water.

It has already gotten wet by the accident. I would rinse it out and dry it off with towels.
Cane chairs are usually woven while wet so I do not believe getting it wet for a short period of time will ruin it.
