We have tried everything for dd. She has the acne all over her face and I really fill for her as a child I had acne and kids can be so mean. So we bought her proactive, clean and clear and a few others. and none was working it would work for a couple months and then it would get real bad so I got online and was looking for home remedys and found one where you mix backing soda and water to make a past and scubbed your face with it and rinse then use equal parts water and apple cider vinager and use it as an astringent she has used it twice and Ohh my gosh by the looks of her face you cant tell she has a bad case of acne her face is smooth and really looks good. I would reccomend it to anyone who has tried everything. and it cost less than $2.00

Thanks, Shann! I've struggled with acne for 15 years, and have tried tons of OTC and RX treatments with little improvement. I will definitely try this!!

Proactiv didn't help? Wow. From the informercial you would think there was nothing better. I'm glad the homespun remedy is working, because it's cheap!

Also, I was told by a lady the other day that when she was a teenager she used natural Tea Tree oil. She said as soon as she started a breakout, she would dab some on , and it was gone usually by the next day.But you have to make sure it is 100% natural.I love home remedies!

Proactive, according to my derm, only works for mild cases. It doesn't work for the severe cases, like the infomercial shows. It's too bad.

Proactive worked well for my oldest DD, but worked not at ALL for youngest DD and DS. Surprising to hear that it supposedly only works for mild cases Enchens, because oldest DD had more than a *mild* case. I guess it just depends..........

Thanks for sharing this, Shann. I put baking soda in my dd's bath water and it helps with her dry skin. I never thought about using it on one's face. I know it works wonders for many things. Thanks!
I'm glad it has helped your dd.

RX medicinal cream called DIFFERIN worked wonders for my DD. It is very pricey, though, even with insurance.

Shann,
Was your DD in a breakout when she tried this treatment? Did it clear up existing pimples?? I tried it tonight, and hope to see good results soon. I HATE the smell of vinegar!

it cleared up mostly all of her pimples if she would use it everyday like I keep telling her her face would clear up completly even prevent breakouts. I think within 2 hours her face looked different right after she used it. but she will only use it every other day and her face will start to break out again. Crystal have you seen a difference this evening
