New crockpot

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive September 2007: New crockpot
By Annie2 on Sunday, September 16, 2007 - 06:20 pm:

I'm in the market for a new crockpot. I have a round one now, I think it is 4 quarts. Mine has three settings...low, med and auto. Which is fine for me. It seems the slow cookers today have too many bells and whistles. But I do like the ones that will switch to warm. Do you recommend an oval with a 6 quart capacity? I don't need one that is time programmable. I was looking at the Crockpot brand ones. I use mine several times a week. TIA

Definitely get a large, oval one. You can fit whole chickens and large roasts in them easier. I love mine. It's a Euro Pro that I got on sale.

I have an oval 6qt Crock-Pot. Mine can be set for 6 or 8 hours on low or 4 or 6 hours on high. It automatically switches to warm after that time limit. I love it!
