In February we're going on another cruise, this time to St. Maarten, St. Thomas and Costa Rica. You guys gave me the best advice last time, so I'm back for more. This time there will be quite a group of us going, and it should be a blast! Any ideas for private excursions?

I agree about St. Maarten. It was funny, we went on an island tour there and the guide told us over and over how well they get along.
The guys did the sailing regatta and loved it.
St. Thomas we went snorkeling too. It was beautiful.
In both St. Maarten and St. Thomas we scheduled ship tours, so no recommendations...sorry!

Actually, BOTH Oscar and Charlie are highly regarded there as *THE* best tour guides. I know we had an absolutely fantastic day tour with Charlie.

St. Maarten - there's a French side and a Dutch side. The people on the French side are INCREDIBLY nasty and rude. Like most of those islands, there is a lot of poverty and many areas are UGLY and very poor. We had a tour that ended with a lunch at a private beach, where the water and scenery was, hands downs, the BEST and most beautiful I've ever seen.







We have been to St. Thomas too, and we didn't see much of the area because we booked a snorkeling tour there on a sailboat, which was so much fun!
