Moms View Message Board: Secret Santa 2008: Jackie
By Anonymous on Thursday, October 23, 2008 - 02:33 pm:

How are you today?
How's the weather in Va. Beach?
Today is wonderful here.
I can't wait to get to know you better. I know I am going to love being your Secret Santa this year.
I can't believe it is only 2 months until Christmas! guess I better start shopping.
I will talk to you soon.

By Jackie on Thursday, October 23, 2008 - 04:59 pm:

Hi there. The weather here in Va Beach is a bit chilly, I think we at about 60, though the sun is out. I do love the sun.

Yes, Christmas time is almost upon us. It does have a habit of sneaking up on us. We do both holidays, Hanukkah and Christmas. My kids are very spoiled :)

By Tarable on Friday, October 24, 2008 - 12:37 pm:

I would love to have more reasons to spoil my kids.. My dh tells me all the time that I always spend way too much money on them. ;P

Well I will give you your first hint..

I live somewhere west of you... (I know that isn't much help but a little) :)

By Anonymous on Friday, October 24, 2008 - 03:38 pm:

well poo.... I did what my santa did.. totally forgot..

By Anonymous on Friday, October 24, 2008 - 03:40 pm:

But.. there is no way to edit it.. to change the anon..

By Anonymous on Friday, October 24, 2008 - 05:07 pm:

So since you celebrate both Hanukkah and Christmas how do you decorate your house or do you? Just curious. I love to see how different people celebrate the holidays.

I love to learn about anything especially how other people act and do things that are different from my family. My family is pretty unusual on their own.. especially when you figure in my in laws.. I am kind of the "black sheep" not that I am bad.. just different that most.. All of my relatives (not my in laws) are big republicans and I am liberal.. My parents can't figure out where they went wrong.. (just kidding or that is what my mom says anyway)

By Jackie on Friday, October 24, 2008 - 05:49 pm:

Tara-it is ok. I Would of guessed you anyways, I am a pretty good snope LOL :)

For the holidays, we do decorate, not a whole bunch. Me, and the kids are Jewish, my husband is not. He is a non practicing Catholic. We have a small fiberoptic Christmas tree, they we only have up a couple of days. Sometimes my kids get in the decoration bins, and will put more up.

We have a few Hanukkah decorations as well. Hanukkah lasts for 8 nights, so it is exciting the kids get a small gift each 8 nights.

What part of Texas are you in? All my husbands family lives in Texas.

By Tarable on Friday, October 24, 2008 - 06:20 pm:

Near Dallas. I have lived around here all but about 2 years of my life.. During that time I was in Kansas while my ex was stationed at Ft. Riley, also where Alexis was born.

I tend to go totally overboard as far as decorations go.. I LOVE Christmas!

Well now that I don't have to keep my secret..

What do you do for work besides being a wife and mother.. I know those are jobs all on their own..

By Jackie on Saturday, October 25, 2008 - 12:03 pm:

Hi Again Tara :)
What do I do for work besides being a wife and mommy? LOL..
I dogsit out of my house. I have been doing that for 13 yrs. It doesn't pay the mortgage, but its nice to have some extra money around.

Just had to pick up my girlscout candy order. My daughter is a junior girlscout this year. This is the 3rd year, Ive done the candy/nut sale for the troop. I really hate it, but feel guilty if I didnt do it.
I have TONS of candy and nuts sitting on my table. I just brought it home, next step is to sort it out for each girl and call them to pick it up.
Its overwhelming to me, so one step at a time...

What are you doing this weekend?

My husbands sister lives in Richardson Texas, and the rest of of his family lives down near Corpus Christi.

By Tarable on Saturday, October 25, 2008 - 07:50 pm:

Richardson is about 10 miles east of me.. I also have a lot of family that lives near Corpus Christi.

I didn't know girl scouts sold candy and nuts. I thought they just sold cookies. Maybe that is just around here.

I would love to foster dogs but that isn't an option with my kids because Jordan can be really mean to animals unfortunately.

We are cleaning the house because my dh's dad's girlfriend will be in town tomorrow for business but wants to stop by to see us. We don't get to see them often since they live in CA so it was a nice surprise when she called.

By Jackie on Saturday, October 25, 2008 - 08:15 pm:

Oh yes, girlscouts sell candy/nuts in the fall LOL..
I just sorted them all out. Tomorrow I will call the people to tell them to pick up their order.

We foster dogs as well as dogsit. In our everyday life we have 4 dogs. I own 2 dogs, and have 2 foster dogs.
Right now we do not have any doggie customers. I wish we did, I could use the extra money.

Oh cleaning is no fun.I hate cleaning. We always do a deep clean when we have company as well.

It is so cool that you live close to where my husbands family lives.

Any big plans for Sunday?

By Tarable on Monday, October 27, 2008 - 08:29 am:

Good Monday morning...

I am at work.. trying to not work.. (I tend to do that a lot in the morning)

We spent Sunday hanging out with the girls and then picking up Ginger (dh's father's gf) from the airport and taking her to dinner then dropping her off at her hotel. It was a good day. We hadn't seen her since our wedding in 2005. My dh's dad has been with Ginger for about 20 years but both refuse to get remarried.

Do you have anything exciting planned for Halloween?

I know Faith is still pretty young (4 or 5?) but how old are your kids these days?

By Jackie on Monday, October 27, 2008 - 06:14 pm:

Hi Again Tara, hows the weather by you? Right now it is awful, about 54 and raining.

We will just go trick or treating with the kids. I love it. I loved doing it as a kid, and love taking my kids trick or treating. We are hoping the weather remains mild. We have had years that we are sweating walking around on Halloween. Other yrs, we are freezing, you just never know around here.

I have a son who is 14
I have another daughter who is 9
and Faith is 4 :)

I hurt my back again today...OUCH.. I seem to hurt my lower back twice a year...I have such a low threshold of pain, that I thought I was going to pass out earlier..Thankfully Faith was in preschool at the time.
I m feeling better just a little sore, it usually takes about 2 weeks to go away on its own.
Well I am off to get my girls ready for bed..

By Tarable on Monday, October 27, 2008 - 11:26 pm:

I have a dd who will be 14 in Nov. and one who will be 12 in Nov also. What a lovely age this is.

I hope your back starts feeling better. I have had back problems for years. I have a problem with muscle spasms in my back and they can put me out of commission for a week sometimes.

So you say you like Mickey Mouse. Do you prefer one version over another. I know Mickey has changed over the years quite a bit.

I love Halloween and still dress up every year. This year I am going to be a Greek Goddess.. Athena. Should be interesting.

The weather here is getting cooler but still nice and sunny out. Tonight it is supposed to get down to 39 tonight and tomorrow the high is like 69. that is pretty cool for us. Friday if all goes as they say it should be in the mid 80s.

We seem to have a cold front the day of Halloween a lot. goes from being in the 80s everyday to around 30 that night and it ruins everything.. But as a kid i remember hating to get hot costumes because if they covered too much you would just sweat.

Well it is my bedtime, I guess. I have to get up early to take the girls to school so I know they make it on time.

By Jackie on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 - 04:23 pm:

Hi Tara How is your day going?

My back is a little better today. I did go to the dr,which I never do. I mean, I know within 1-2 weeks it always gets better. I only went because of getting my jury duty summons. I have to call in for 2 weeks straight. I actually wouldnt mind going, but with my back, I don't think Id be able to sit for 8 hrs LOL.. It feels better when I can get up and walk around.

The dr didnt tell me anything I didnt already know. She did give me a muscle relaxer to take at night.

I know it sounds silly for a grown woman to like Mickey so much , but I do :)...I guess I can't say I like one over . But looking at my collection, I have more modern ones.

Tonight my 9 yr olds class(well all the 4th grade classes)are going being some musical production, so we will head over there tonight.

By Tarable on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 - 05:11 pm:

I totally understand how a grown woman can like Mickey so much.. I like Tinkerbell that much!

Tonight is grilling burgers and helping with homework. I didn't want anything that would take long in the kitchen tonight.

By Jackie on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 - 08:45 am:

Hi Tara, we grilled Hamburgers last night as well.
It is cold here this morning. I am such a summer type gal. I prefer the hot temperatures and sun over cold weather any day.

Took Faith to preschool this morning then I stopped at the grocery store. Not a very exciting morning. I have things to do at home, laundry(again)and more separating the girlscout candy orders..

Hopeyou are having a great day.

By Tarable on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 - 01:14 pm:

The weather is warming a little here so it is comfortable out with just a t-shirt and jeans on, which is how I like it.

My day seems to be dragging.. I am tired, just couldn't sleep well last night because my allergies are going crazy.

Hope you have a good day.

By Jackie on Thursday, October 30, 2008 - 08:02 pm:

So are your kids excited about Halloween tomorrow? Do you have certain trick or treating hrs where you live? Here the hours are 6-8. I went to Kmart tonight, and boy was it crowded. They had their Halloween customes already at 50% off.
I am looking forward to tomorrow night :)

By Tarable on Friday, October 31, 2008 - 10:20 am:

They are extremely excited about halloween.
Jordan is going to be a goth fairy
Alexis is going to be a vampire of sorts
I am a greek goddess (we dress up at work)
And trick or treating normally runs from around dark until about 9, but no set hours.

I hope your week has been going great. Mine has been super busy but hopefully things will calm down for a while..

By Jackie on Friday, October 31, 2008 - 10:40 am:

Hi again..Happy Halloween
Faith wanted to go trick or treating as soon as she got up. I explained we have to wait until it gets dark.
Growing up, we had no set trick or treating hours. We just went "Whenever"..Here it was so weird moving here, to find out they get only two hours.
Ive been cleaning all morning, I have to do it when the moment strikes LOL..

By Tarable on Monday, November 3, 2008 - 11:04 am:

I hope your Halloween went well.

It seems like all I did all weekend was grocery shop and do laundry. Sometimes I wonder if I am washing clean clothes that come out of Jordan's room. Oh well I am sure they have been on the floor or something.

Well I got up this morning and worked out so I seem to have a lot more energy than normal, which is a good thing. I love this time change it makes it so much easier to get up and get my work out in. j

So what are you doing for Thanksgiving this year?

By Jackie on Monday, November 3, 2008 - 12:21 pm:

Hi Tara, our Halloween was good. BUT, there is way too much candy in this house LOL..

Funny, sometimes I wonder if I am washing clean clothes at times as I think the kids just throw any clothes they can find in the laundry basket.

I swear I feel like I do laundry all day long.
My older kids were out of school today and tomorrow for teacher workshop days. Faith still had preschool. I wasn't sure if she had it or not. I drove over and they were opened. I know she rather be there then at home.I started out my morning taking one of my foster dogs to the vet, from there we went to preschool. After that, it was odd being in the house with only my 2 older kids. I took them to the mall, we walked around for almost 2 hrs, ate lunch then picked Faith up. It was a different , but nice afternoon.

We don't do anything special for Thanksgiving. It is hard not having any family here. Normally I do not mind not living in the same state is my family, but it gets to me on Holidays and birthdays.

By Tarable on Monday, November 3, 2008 - 01:44 pm:

Looks like we are going to my mom's for a BIG family Thanksgiving. My parents, my sister and her family (5 fo them), my family and probably 6 to 8 close family friends and possibly my Dad's cousin, his wife and their son and his family. So it will be BIG, somewhere between 20 and 30 would be my guess but won't know for sure for another week or 2.

I don't normally like to deal with everyone like that but it should be nice.

I would love to move out of state but I really can't do that until the girls are out of school due to the court order with her dad and I know he would fight it. My dh and I think that once the girls are out of high school there is a good chance we will move to the west coast somewhere. That is where he grew up and I love it out there. I would prefer somewhere close to San Francisco but who knows we might end up in Seattle where his mom lives.

So what is your favorite candy?

By Jackie on Monday, November 3, 2008 - 03:36 pm:

I envy you spending Thankgsgiving with so many family members. Growing up, we always got together with all the reletives. It was a lot of fun. I feel bad for my kids, I feel like they miss out on that stuff.Although I think Christmas is harder on me. Although we celebrate both Hanukkah and Christmas. Christmas always makes me a little depressed. I mean most people I know make such a big deal about it, family visits, Christmas dinner etc... On Christmas morning, once the presents are over, I find it sort of sad ....I love CHristmas Eve. Although me and the kids are Jewish, we still have our routine.
We leave cookies and Milk out for Santa. In our house, we leave them outside on a chair, so the dogs wont eat them LOL. We sprinkle reindeer food on the lawn.
I ALWAYs read the kids "a night before Christmas". I think Christmas Eve is so magical.

Yet, my kids get up so early, and presents are opened quickly and its over in a matter of minutes...I always envied the big family gatherings on Christmas. Growing up Jewish, we never celebrated Christmas, it was just another boring day with nothing to do except maybe go to a movie(those are always opened LOL)

It cost too much money for us to travel at Christmas. My husbands family would love us to be in Texas for Christmas, but flying a family of 5 is A LOT of money.
We moved out of state because my husband was in the Navy. As much as I would of liked to be with Family, I NEVER wanted to move back to the Chicago area.. I HATE winter and snow and cold weather.

Ahhh my favorite candy. I think my Favorite Halloween candy is tootsie rolls LOL..BUT my favorite all time candy is Snowcaps...you know those little dark chocolate circles with the white sprinkles on it..I LOVE THOSE... I must eat those when I go to the movies...

By Tarable on Monday, November 3, 2008 - 05:52 pm:

I love snowcaps... That is what I get when we go to the movies too.

I LOVE Christmas, but unfortunately 1/2 the time I get upset about Christmas because I have to share them with my ex so it is hard on me sometimes when I am being selfish. This year is his Christmas so I won't have the girls for actual Christmas (we will have our Christmas another day). The years we do have the girls we try to do cool things like spend time with my parents or if we can afford it we have gone to DH's mom's in Seattle before but plane tickets up there are expensive too.

Hope you have a good evening.

By Jackie on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 - 11:39 am:

Hi Tara, arent snowcaps the best :)

How are you today? here it is rainy and very windy. I need to see some sun. I havent seen sun for 3 days now LOL..
This hasn't been a very productive day LOL..

I need to pick Faith up from preschool in a bit, then later this afternoon it is swim clinic for my other daughter.I havent done a lick of cleaning all day..I better get on that LOL

By Tarable on Thursday, November 6, 2008 - 02:47 pm:

I wish I could be at home not having a very productive day today. I just don't feel like being at work or around people today.

By Jackie on Thursday, November 6, 2008 - 03:29 pm:

Hi Tara, sounds like you are having a bad day today. Hope all is ok
We are going on another day with no sun..UGH...bring me my sun LOL..

SO tired of all the election/political talk. I finally posted on the other board.I normally don't talk politics. I am just so tired of it..

I just want to scream...GET OVER IT!!! I feel like saying "no point crying over spilled milk", it is what it is. People are getting so heated over it and Ijust dont get it..

Ok, sorry about that.

Tonight is girlscouts night. I enjoy going with my daughter.

By Tarable on Thursday, November 6, 2008 - 04:27 pm:

That is what has me so blah today.. I am so sick of political junk that I want to scream also. I don't have the same views as many people around here and it is driving me crazy.

Tonight for me is trying to shop for Alexis's birthday. Or maybe I will put that off until Saturday when I have more tolerance for people in general.

Have a great time at girlscouts!

By Jackie on Thursday, November 6, 2008 - 04:36 pm:

Hey there..These are times I am glad I dont work, so I dont have to listen to more political talk LOL...

Do you watch any of the Thursday night shows? Greys Anatomy or ER?? I love Thursday nights. Well I love my TIVO even more.I TIVO everything. I rarely watch shows when they are on the right time.

DId you ever watch the series "Sex and the City" when it was on? I was a little slow on that. I mean when it was first on, I had no interest. When the movie came out several months ago, we saw it(never having seen the series). I was hooked ever since. Now I have seen the whole series 3 times on TBS... I love that show. Yes I am a tv addict. Well there are worse things I could get addicted too LOL..

Chocoalte, tv and Mickey mouse :)

By Tarable on Monday, November 10, 2008 - 03:54 pm:

I never really watched sex and the city when it was on but I own it now on DVD.. Love it. Never got around to seeing the movie so I guess I will have to get it when it comes out.

I really only watch CSI but I used to watch ER but then a few years back I missed a season and got really confused when i tried to start watching it again.

I am definately not a TV addict but I am an internet junkie. My dh and I finally broke down and bought laptops so that when we go to my mom's we aren't stranded without a computer for the whole time we are there. She has a computer but I really hate getting on other people's computers so now we can just use our own. Most of the time that I spend on the computer there is something on the TV in the background but normally my DH has the tv on the history channel or discovery. You would be surprised how much useless information I know because of the tv being on in the background while we play video games and such.

I know this week just started but I am really ready for Saturday to get here. Alexis is having a slumber party Friday and I really want it to be over with already. she will be 14 on Thursday and is driving me crazy making sure I know that I am not allowed to hang out with her and her friends after about 10 (and before that only to make sure that we have everything that they need/want. I guess that is okay but I really wish the living room was farther away from my room than it is because that is where they are going to spend the night. I have a feeling that I am going to be really tired Saturday. Well at least Jordan is going to their dad's so I don't have to play referee all night long. Jordan's birthday is the 22nd and Alexis will be at a student council conference that weekend so she won't be bugging Jordan and her friends either.. it worked out really well this year, some in the past have been crazy trying to keep things separate.

I guess I am probably rambling.. I really don't want to work right now, but I really need to. I will talk more later.

Hope you had a good weekend.

By Jackie on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 - 07:42 am:

Hi Tara, isnt 14 a fun age LOL.. My son is 14. I swear he is just as emotional as any 14 yr old girl.I am sure her party will be loads of fun, well at least for her LOL

After I take Faith to preschool I am off to look for a small lamp for her new room. Faith finally got her big room. See in our master bedroom, we have this other room in there, they call it a "sitting room". It has a door any everything. Well that is where Faith has been living since shes been born. Its actually a great size for a nursery. Well as it goes, my husband was slow on cleaning out her real room. FINALLY, the day had arrived, last night, and she is in her new room> I actually miss her being right next door. LOL..She loves her new room, but the room has no overhead light. This house is 45 yrs old, apparently they didnt believe rooms needed it LOL..Now I need to find her a small cute lamp.

I went in there rearranged all her toys, got rid of tons of it, that I will give away on freecycle. She has way too many.I also may sneak in some Holiday shopping today, I have some coupons, so hopefully I wont spend too much.

By Tarable on Friday, November 14, 2008 - 08:51 am:

Well I made it through her actual birthday and now to make it through a slumber party tonight.

I need to go through some of the girls old toys too but haven't had a chance to do that. I normally take a day or 2 off and clean everything out before their birthdays and christmas but this year I don't have any days left after having to take time off for my surgery.

Hope you are having a wonderful Friday!!!

By Jackie on Friday, November 14, 2008 - 11:25 am:

Good luck with the party :)... I am sure they will all have tons of fun!

Went to Walmart today after taking Faith to preschool. It is nice to just wander around and "look" at things without worrying about what one of my kids is getting into.

We have no real plans for the weekend, Im hoping maybe to take the kids to a movie.

By Tarable on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 - 06:30 pm:

Well the party went fine. Sorry I haven't said much lately. Jordan is home sick with Strep. YUCK!!! I am trying to take care of her and yet keep my distance enough not to get it. She will be going back to school on Thursday hopefully.

I have got to get my lists for my family together but I haven't had time to think about it. Everyone keeps asking me what to get Jordan and DH and I have no clue since they won't tell me what they want.

I hope you are having a good week.

By Jackie on Thursday, November 20, 2008 - 07:48 am:

Hi Tara, how is Jordan feeling? My two older kids get strep a lot, I know it is no fun.
Its been really cold here, I am so not ready for winter. I truley hate cold weather.

My business was slow for awhile(my dogsitting business)...Thankfully I can say I will have a full house(doggie wise)for Thanksgiving. I REALLY need the money. Before now, the holidays were looking scarce around here..

The weekend is almost upon us again, any big plans?

By Tarable on Thursday, November 20, 2008 - 12:21 pm:

Well Saturday is Jordan's birthday but we aren't really doing much.. Probably go out to eat Friday night for it and then my parents are taking her to their house on Saturday morning. She is having a slumber party the first weekend of Dec (this weekend is bad because everyone goes out of town since there is no school next week around here.

I could use some extra money right now too the holidays are getting to me.

Alexis is going to a state student council conference tomorrow in Austin and will not be home until late Saturday night. Spent about 3 hours trying to find her a dress to wear down there. she ended up with a really cute outfit but of course I had to buy her new shoes and everything.

Don't really know much else.. See you soon!

By Tarable on Thursday, November 20, 2008 - 12:22 pm:

OH, and Jordan is feeling better and back at school today!

By Jackie on Saturday, November 22, 2008 - 11:28 am:

I am glad Jordan is feeling better.

It has been a lazy Saturday morning. I am waiting for some doggie customers to come over. We will be a very full house(doggie style)this week. I don't mind we could really use the money.

I am hoping to do a little shopping this week. I went to Kmart yesterday and got the girls a few things that were on sale. It is easier to buy a few things at a time. I have been wrapping as I go along, so the kids don't find the stuff :)

By Jackie on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 - 02:53 am:

Hey Tara are you doing ok? Can you believe Thanksgiving is tomorrow? WOW, time goes by way too fast.

By Tarable on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 - 09:29 am:

Sorry we have been a little under the weather around here and work has been super busy with huge deadlines for today!

I will be shipping your gift out next week. It won't take that much time to get to you. I know it is after the deadline but I don't have time to do it today before I leave for my mom's for the weekend. She lives in west Texas in the middle of nowhere in a town of less than 300 people.

Time is definitely flying. I have got to start doing some Christmas shopping.

By Jackie on Friday, November 28, 2008 - 05:42 pm:

Hi Tara, how did your Thanksgiving go? Here it was quiet but nice. I did a little shopping this morning, nothing major. I looked over the ads last night and just didn't see anything that exciting to get up that early for.

Don't worry about sending the package out after the deadline. For me, it is better, as the longer it is here, the more I want to snoop LOL

By Tarable on Saturday, November 29, 2008 - 06:36 pm:

Thanksgiving went really well. I guess I was worried for nothing.

I will get your gift to you before the opening date. I have always had a hard time not snooping when it comes to presents. When I was a kid I used to wait until my mom left me home alone and unwrap all the presents under the tree (even the ones to other people) so I knew what everyone had

By Jackie on Saturday, November 29, 2008 - 07:02 pm:

Glad to hear your Thanksgivign went well.
Did you do any shopping yesterday?

We just came back from the Mall and from Walmart, both places were really crowded.I have picked up a few items on my list. In no time I should have my shopping done.

By Tarable on Sunday, November 30, 2008 - 04:48 pm:

Well the town my mom lives in only has 300 people in it and we didn't leave that town until this morning when we came home. But they have a great jewelry store and I went there and picked out some amazing earrings for Alexis (she can't wear any earrings that aren't gold). They were 60% off so not too bad of a price and they will last a lifetime!

By Jackie on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 - 02:30 pm:

Hi Tara, how are you doing this week? Yesterday we had warmer weather, today it is freezing out.

Nothing too exciting going on here.

So are you all decorated for Christmas? Do you bake for the holidays? What are your favorite things to bake?

By Tarable on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 - 10:04 am:

I love to bake. I guess my favorite thing to bake is cookies followed by cakes. I have never made a pie but I am sure that I could do that if the need arised.

My house is not decorated for Christmas at all. I will be doing that this weekend.

Jordan is home again with another case of strep. I am feeling pretty well at this point.

By Jackie on Thursday, December 4, 2008 - 09:36 am:

Hi Tara, sorry to hear Jordan has strep again. Hopefully the rest of your family won't catch it.

Tomorrow is Friday already, weeks just go by way too fast.

Hope is ok on your end.:)

By Jackie on Friday, December 5, 2008 - 05:04 pm:

Hi Tara how are you doing this weekend? It is 5pm and it is dark out already, boy I sure miss those long days of summer.

Any plans for the weekend?

I still have to finish up some holiday shopping for the teachers. Other then that I am done. I am done buying for the kids, and my husband. I have my Secret Santa box shipped out, so it is getting less stressful , finally LOL

By Tarable on Friday, December 5, 2008 - 06:26 pm:

I have to do some serious shopping and decorating this weekend! I am shipping yours tomorrow. I meant to do it today but didn't get to the post office and it is closed now (or I think it is) and I am still at work.

Tonight the girls have a school dance so they will go to that and dh and I will go out to eat then pick them up at the end.

I am kinda excited for Alexis. She has what I think is her first real boyfriend. Kinda scared too. But he is a really good kid and I have known him for a few years so that is a good thing (I think).

Hope you have a good weekend and I will try to check back in tomorrow or Sunday

By Jackie on Monday, December 8, 2008 - 04:38 pm:

Hi Tara, hope you had a good weekend. It has been so cold here, I just hate it. I feel that I can never warm up.

Oh boy, a first boyfriend for Alexis. What an exciting and scarey time, all rolled into one.

I finished up the teacher gifts today while Faith was in preschool. I went to Big Lots, Super Kmart, Walgreens, Starbucks(for gift cards). After I picked up Faith, I went to Sam's Club and the dollar store..WOW..that is a lot of places in one day. I figured just get it over with and not prolong it.

So what are you asking for , for Christmas? Do you have anything special you are hoping for?

Me, I am a simple person> We are are adopting our foster dog, so that is my real Christmas present. I love my doggies :), she will be our3rd.

Okay i am feeling really guilty right now.. I totally left your package at home today. I was going to put it in the mail at lunch. I promise to get it off tomorrow but I will make sure you have it long before the deadline!

I told dh yesterday that i want a shih tzu for Christmas but i think he thought I was kidding. I will never get one myself because he is not too fond of dogs but I would love to have a dog.. So instead I have a cat that I treat like a dog and she actually comes when I call her and fetches but she is not good about bringing it back.. I guess I will have to work on that with her :P

I asked for a digital picture frame and some new gym shoes since mine are getting really worn out. Those are the things that I will most likely get. I would much rather have a dog though.

I mailed your package yesterday priority so it should be there around the end of the week or Monday.

I think that part of my stress is finally going away I just wish all my tests would come back so I can quit worrying about those.
