National Treasure: Book of Secrets

We just went to see this movie today. If you liked the first one, you'll like the second one. It's a great movie, we took the kids to see it with us and they liked it too. I'm pretty sure they didn't really *get* most of it, but they liked the action scenes and the finding the treasure part. A lot of it probably went over their heads since they are to young to have taken any history classes yet. But my dh and I really liked it and recommend it if you like that sort of movie.

I didn't see the first one, but Sarah did and really liked it. I want to see the second one, because they shot it in South Dakota and I've been there now! LOL! I'm glad you liked it.

We saw this last night. Good movie.

LOVED this movie! My ds who is 8 was able to understand most all of it and he absolutely loved it.

I think it was almost better than the first one.

Can't wait for the third, and I'm SURE there will be a third one based on the end of the movie...

Sarah and DH went to see this over the weekend. I hope to catch it, too, but just wasn't in the mood, when they went. I wanted to knit and hadn't had time all day.

I know it's a good story, but I also want to see the South Dakota scenery!

The kids have been asking to see this, so thank you for the review!! :)

DH and I have been looking forward to seeing this and I think my two oldest kids will like it. I don't think my 6yo will understand it yet.

We rented it tonight. I wanted MORE scenery! LOL! More Black Hills! More trees! More hills! It was just a tease and not nearly enough SD! (Okay, so it wasn't that relevant to the story line, though!)

Oh yeah, I was on the edge of my seat, at the end of the movie, though. The action was exciting.

Helen Mirren, who played Em, also played Queen Elizabeth in the movie, "The Queen."

When they showed Mount Vernon, I blurted out, "I've been there!" and Sarah said, "You have?" It was one of the places we visited on my trip to DC, in 1978! LOL!

We rented it this weekend too (although we had already seen it). I think dd (9) got more of it than ds (7) did. At the end I said something about "the book" and ds goes "what book?'

LOL The BOOK of SECRETS that the whole MOVIE was about!! He apparently was not paying that much attention to the movie.

Their favorite part was when they were in Buckingham Palace and Ben (Nick Cage) started talking all British. They were mimicking him afterwards. So funny. I'm sure we will buy this one too, we already own the first one.
It's nice when you find a movie that the whole family can watch and enjoy with out it being a cartoon.

I really wanted to see this, then ended up only making it through half of it, so I will have to re-rent it! LOL, I swear it's a miracle if I get to see a whole movie in one sitting! Everyone I know who has seen it enjoyed it, and I really liked the first one.
