Have any of you who are actually Army Wives watched this series? I am glued to the TV when it is on and am wondering how true to life it really is?

I don't have cable, but this show has gotten great reviews. Yes, I'd like to hear from military wives also. After all, we all know how close "Dangerous Housewives" is to our lives.

I love love love Army wives. I watch it every Sunday and was also wondering if that is actually how life is on an army base. They seem to be a close net family.

not an Army wife, obviously lol, but there are some similarities. I personally love the show and have it set for Tivo. Every base we have lived at we have always found a close circle of friends like that and theres always the friction between the some of the higher ranking Marines wives and the lower rankings Marines wives (just like the one thats spreading the rumors and causing troubles) Our childerens and my own actions and behavior reflect upon my husband in his job. I'm not sure what civilian life is like, I have not watched Desperate Housewives but Army Wives is pretty close to the life of a Marine Wife.
