Newspaper clippings

Moms View Message Board: Get Organized: Newspaper clippings
By Christylee on Thursday, February 24, 2005 - 01:17 pm:

My mom kept newspaper clippings from the day I was born and major events throughout my childhood. I've continued to do so and have started keeping them for my son as well. Anyone have any ideas on how to preserve them? I was thinking I may just laminate them and put them in a binder, do you all think that would work? Well they still yellow? Do I need to do anything special to them?

Thanks in Advance

Don't they have archival spray for just this type of thing? I think so. Do a search for that and see what you can find. Good luck! :)

I would buy the spray and instead of laminting them I would buy some photo safe report sleeves and slide them in, then make into notebook. You could put a piece of card stock behind each one so you could see the one on the back side. Then if you really felt inspired you could cut out a 2x3 tag and write a little note about the artical, like this is from my first win at yada yada. My mom saved this because...i saved this because. Then you can call yourself an official scrapbooker :)
