Trina--Booster Seat Question

Moms View Message Board: Parenting Discussion: Trina--Booster Seat Question
By Kate on Saturday, April 14, 2007 - 12:08 pm:

My DD has the Graco turbo booster with the back still attached. With this particular booster, is it safe to use it if the vehicle headrest has been removed? Without the headrest the head of the booster is completely ABOVE the seat. Is that thin piece of plastic enough in a crash?? Or will it snap and my DD's head then have nothing behind it?? It just seems a really wimpy high back booster without a full vehicle seat/headrest behind it. So in a crash, would just the booster high back be enough for her head without the vehicle headrest behind it?? I think I'm now preferring solid back boosters....

The Graco Turbo Booster does not require a vehicle seat with a headrest or high seat back, which means it is fine on a low back bench seat or without a headrest. There are seats that require a vehicle headrest or high seat back behind it, but the Graco Turbo booster is not one of them.
