Too many poopy diapers?

Moms View Message Board: Parenting Discussion: Too many poopy diapers?
By Heaventree on Sunday, November 12, 2006 - 03:25 pm:

Matthew (2-1/2) has had 4 poopy diapers each day for the last two days. He is not complaining about a sore tummy, is eating regularly, but has two large molars coming in. The bms look very much like they did when he was teething as a baby, very wet, yellow and mucusy. I'm thinking teething and not virus. Cameron is also teething but his bms are fine so another reason not to think virus, right? Any thoughts?

I've cut out all juice and have been giving mostly milk.

It seems like it could definitely be the teething. A lot of people try to say that teething doesn't cause all of those things, including fevers, but my children had a difficult time, and ran fevers and it was always teething related. No one can tell me otherwise!

So if he keeps acting fine, and doesn't seem sick, I would think teething, too. Those molars can be rough!

It sounds like a teething thing to me!

Sounds like teething to me too!! If it was viral I think he'd be feverish and just not feeling well.My guys just went through lots of poopies not too long ago also.I just give more cheese to balance things out.

Thanks everyone, but I'm now thinking maybe viral, I too am running, running to the bathroom. Although Cameron is fine and he is probably the most susceptible to catching something.

Matthew does appear to be a bit better, but his poor little bottom is red and sore. Poor little buddy.

Anyway I'm lactose intolerant so it could be the homemade mac and cheese I made last night with the kids milk. Ugh I hope that's all it is.
