I need book titles!

Moms View Message Board: Parenting Discussion: I need book titles!

I've been checking books out from the library by putting them on hold and then picking them up from the bookmobile that comes out here on Saturdays. I need to put them on hold at least 3 or 4 days before Saturday for them to be there. I'm running out of titles/authors I know are good. Are there any good books you've read to your kids lately? Last week I resorted to just doing a search for children's hardcover books and picking some. There were over 5000 pages of search results! lol I just picked a few pages. The kids I have right now are 2yo, almost 3yo and 5yo (3mo doesn't care what I read! lol). My boys (10 and 12) sometimes listen, sometimes don't. I'm reading Bunnicula to them, anyway (the 5yo listens in). So give me some titles! A really cute one we read last week, if you're looking for a good book to read with your child, was called I Saw an Ant on the Railroad Track. The 5yo really liked it. :)

My two favorite books when I was 3-6 were Stand Back Said the Elephant, I'm Going to Sneeze! and Frederick's Alligator. They are both quite funny, and the older kids I babysat enjoyed them as well.

Thanx! I put Stand Back Said the Elephant, I'm Going to Sneeze on hold, but our library doesn't have Frederick's Alligator. Bummer! I did read a description of it at Amazon.com and it sounds cute!

I went to Scholastic.com and found a list for summer reading for preschoolers. I put a bunch of those books on hold, but that will only last me about 2 weeks. Any other suggestions?
