Thought I'd share this web site I found.
Thx Trina-My DH works at the hospital in the Aquired Brain Injury Department and is dead set against ever letting our DD or sons ride with us on a bike/trailer.When they're old enough to ride there own bike is when they can have a bike.He never throws the kids in the air to catch them because of damage that can be done.Its unfortunate what brain damage can be done with doing innocent things to have fun.
Our kids never had a problem riding in the trailer. They did wear helmets, though! I don't recall anyone ever crying. They usually fell asleep. We never rode that far, though and it didn't happen all that often.
That was a question I had...do you also do helmets in a bike trailer? I guess I never thought of it until now!
Yes, it has always been my understanding that kids should wear helmets in a bike trailer also. One time when we were on vacation, we rented bikes and a trailer and they required us to do it. I would have anyway, but they made you!
