Has anyone used this line? What was your experience?

I have a friend whose hosting a show next week. I'm not interested in the line for myself, but heard from someone that the baby care lotion really helped with eczema and bumps on her toddlers skin. Natalie has bumps on the backs of arms and legs and I was thinking of trying it.

Have you tried the Aveeno lotion? My DD had bumps on her skin also.I also apply it when her skin is a bit damp and it works.I also pat dry her skin after a bath instead of rubbing the towel and it kepted dry skin away through the winter.

I've never heard of Arbonne baby care, but both my kids had eczema when they were little. Switching to perfume and dye free detergents and soaps made a huge difference. It also helped to bathe every couple days, as opposed to daily, and to use soap sparingly. Moisturize often. We use Ivory or Dove for sensitive skin and Cetaphil or Eucerin moisturizer.

Natalie doesn't have eczema anymore, but has instead gotten "bumps". We do every other day baths, perfume and dye free detergent, and Eucerin lotion. We've also tried her original eczema cream (Elidel) on the bumps, but no improvement.

We've used Aveeno and it doesn't do it. Eucerin is the only thing that even remotely keeps it looking okay. We're going to try the Arbonne and if that doesn't help we're headed to the ped! :)

I thought I had seen a mention of Arbonne baby care on here before, so that's why I asked:)

I love Arbonne, but have never used their baby products. Sorry I couldn't help! :)

Arbonne baby care has wonderful products and the best thing about them is that they do not contain any animal fats and are pure, safe and beneficial. I have seen first hand what the baby lotion does for skin, even adults are using it. Deanna you may also try the skin conditioning oil from Arbonne. My DS who is 8 also has bumps on the back of his arms and I use this oil on him and it works good. Enjoy the presentation!!!!

Mary -Thanks for the suggestion. I wondered about the oil. Do you also use the body and hair wash? I was going to get that and the lotion. Do you only use the oil then? I don't really want to buy all three (body wash, lotion and oil) if I don't need to, but can get 2 right now.

Thanks for you help!

I haven't tried the baby body and hair wash yet but am going to. I am a consultant but am only replacing the items with Arbonne as I run out of what I have on hand. I am very satisfied with every product I have bought so far. Especially the hormone balancing cream for myself. I'm not sure how much I can say here but if you want more info feel free to email me at hassellmb at hotmail dot com. The products may seem expensive but if you become a wholesale buyer you get 35% off every order so it's well worth it. Oh, one more thing, the washes, shampoos, conditioners are all very very consentrated so you use very little and add water and they lather real nice. (I mix my shampoo with half water) Does Natalie scratch at her bumps? My DS does sometimes and it's like they almost spread.

Thank you for the info!
To answer your earlier question, I'm not a consultant or anything and am happy with my own skincare line, just heard about how great the baby line is and thought I'd try it.

Natalie never scratches (and also didn't when she had eczema) but it just looks ugly. And with summer coming I want her skin to look great, you know?

SIL bought us the following as a gift: Body/hair wash, herbal diaper ointment, body lotion, sunscreen.

The body/hair wash was fine as a body wash - but the day after using it in DD's hair (she has a lot for an infant) it smelled like she'd been working in a pizza parlor, it was rank! I still have it, but won't use it on her hair.

The herbal diaper ointment did not work for us. I use ointment at each diaper change - and DD developed a very red tush after despite using it. I just threw it out.

The body lotion has worked fine and we have not used the sunscreen yet.

There's a good lotion at Bath and Body works. It's designed to treat eczema/bumps.

By Kevannon on Saturday, April 7, 2007 - 03:10 pm:

Natalie's eczema should clear when she can get out more in the sun...her skin should be fine in the summer :) Exposure to the sun can help to heal such skin conditions as psoriasis, acne and eczema. This is why you notice eczema in the dry winter months...you are indoors more. But of course you want it to heal now.
And I love Aveeno! It contains no dyes nor fragrances. Oatmeal smells nice. It's safe and doctor approved. Worth trying I would say. Also, I have so many wonderful experiences with Arbonne products - botanical...also no dyes nor fragrances and no mineral oil! My 5 year old gets terrible eczema on her legs in the winter and the baby body lotion REALLY helps her!! When it is really scaley and rough I use the oil as well. Aveeno is also safe, easily attainable, and very affordable, worth trying...and if it doesn't work DEFINITELY try Arbonne. It can't hurt going to the party!! They have other great offers too when you become a wholesale buyer (free product, etc along with the 35% discount). Your friend may not even know, it depends on her consultant. I know I'm not alone here, but you can always ask me how to get the best deal as I too am a consultant!
BTW...Bath and Body Works products usually have dyes and fragrances which you do not want on your baby. Check the ingredients ON EVERYTHING, PLEASE, before you buy! Fragrances and dyes usually are towards the end of the ingredients. Good luck...and have fun!
