If so, keep an eye out for a new Graco infant carrier car seat due on the market soon.

Graco SafeSeat
- infant carrier car seat (rear facing only) good up to 32" and 30 lbs.

Thanks for the information.

Oh darn. Wanted to see a picture, but there aren't any. So, it would face backwards up to 30 pounds? Wow.

(Not in the market for one, just curious.)

Dawn, there are convertible car seats that rear face up to 30-35 lbs., but this would be the first infant carrier car seat (with the carry handle) that goes up to 30 lbs. and 32". Great for big babies!

That safeseat looks like it would keep your child snug and safe.

Sarah got the season 1 dvds for Full House, for Christmas. In the opening scenes, where Michelle (Mary-Kate or Ashley Olson) is riding in the convertible, in a car seat. It's the Century car seat that we had, that has the triangular piece in the front and then 2 straps over the shoulder and one strap between the legs. I used that one and a Fisher-Price, when my kids were little. It looks more unsafe to me now, than it did then! (roughly early 90's.) Now, I want to put Michelle in a better car seat!

Nothing beats Rosie and Caillou in the car, Dawn! Caillou just has a lap belt (he not only needs a shoulder belt, he should be in a booster) and Rosie has some bizarre thing that looks like a shield, but it has no over-the-shoulder straps at all, just a crotch strap and the big shield attached to....what??? Okay, I realize they are cartoon characters, but it bugs me. :)

ROFL! Glad to hear I'm not the only one who gets bugged by improperly restrained kids and characters on TV. :)

Dawn, my parents bought DS a Century T-shield in '96. I hated that seat! We only used it occasionally as a spare in DH's car. Although I wasn't happy when DH totalled his car, I was happy to have the perfect excuse to destroy that car seat!

A t-shield. That's what it was! I couldn't remember the name of it!

Kate, at first I thought you meant WATCHING Caillou, IN the car. Then I realized the people who draw the cartoon, don't really show them properly restrained! I haven't watched Caillou in a long time!

Whooo! I love the look of that seat! No, Eve, you do not need another seat. LOL Actually, I got a few compliments on the car seat you gave us, Trina. Everyone also likes the Eddie Bauer winter cover too.:)

LOL, Eve! Glad the seat and cover are working out. :)

I went to BabiesRUs today and saw the Graco SafeSeat IRL. It's very nice! In fact, I had to drag myself out of the store saying, "NO Trina, you don't have a baby and do NOT need another infant seat!" Then I started rationalizing and coming up with reasons why it would be OK for me to buy it. Argh! No, No, NO! LOL!
