By Monicamomof3 on Wednesday, November 30, 2005 - 05:04 pm:

BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2 girls and 2 boys! WOW! We are so excited.

BUT.....

HELP!!!!

I need your help with boy names. We have no idea on what to name this sweet little one.

Go ahead....give me some boy names to think about!

Let 'em roll! :)

By Feonad on Wednesday, November 30, 2005 - 06:15 pm:

I like John

and
constantine

By Rayanne on Wednesday, November 30, 2005 - 07:22 pm:

If we ever have a boy, his name will most likely be Chandler.

I also like Chase, Chance, Ethan, Jake, Ryan, & Zachary.

By Dawnk777 on Wednesday, November 30, 2005 - 07:29 pm:

If I would have had a son, his name would have been Gregory Allen!

I think Chase is starting to grow on me, though. I also like David and Michael.

My mom says if I would have been a boy, my name would have been Darrell Scott. I don't mind Scott, but I'm glad I didn't get a chance to be a Darrell. It's just not my favorite name.

I think there are too many Brandons at the school where I work, but only one Ethan, that I know of!

By Monicamomof3 on Wednesday, November 30, 2005 - 09:18 pm:

Wow! I really like those names. It is getting me on the right track for some handsome names.

Keep'em comin'!

Thanks everyone!

:)

By Ilovetom on Wednesday, November 30, 2005 - 09:36 pm:

Okay how about Thomas- Tom?

Charles- Charlie?

By Beth on Thursday, December 1, 2005 - 10:10 am:

Okay well, I am partial to Chase because that is my ds. But if my dd had been a boy she would have been Zayne. I still like that name. I may be the only one. LOL! Ds was almost Brodie. I still like it okay but everybody had something to say about. I also like Reagan.

By Andi on Thursday, December 1, 2005 - 10:22 am:

I love the name Dylan, means Son Of The Sea.
I also love the name Jake or Conner.

By Happynerdmom on Thursday, December 1, 2005 - 10:25 am:

I like the traditional names versus "trendy" names, especially for boys. (ds is Christopher Lyle) They may sound boring, but they never go out of style! Christopher, Michael, Stephen, Luke, Bradley, Brady, Andrew, just to name a few.

By Ilovetom on Thursday, December 1, 2005 - 11:50 am:

Oh Beth- I love Brodie too! LOL. My son goes to Alabama and Brodie was our QB this year. A very fine young man.

By Kernkate on Thursday, December 1, 2005 - 12:45 pm:

Some I like, Brett, Joshua, Tyler, Matthew, Bryan.
My cousin Brian just had a baby and they named him Bryson, for Brian's son, I thought that was cute:)
Congrats and good luck it was always hard for me to find just the right name.
My DK's are Thomas, Brett and Alissa.

By Latonya on Thursday, December 1, 2005 - 02:48 pm:

I like Dylan, Christopher, Matthew, Nicholas, Michael, Trey, Phillip, and Ryan. Though the first 3 are my 3 boys names and the fourth is Matthews middle name. So I have a Dylan Shane, Matthew Nicholas, & Christopher James.

Good Luck!! I know it is hard to pick out the perfect name.

By Alberobello on Thursday, December 1, 2005 - 03:26 pm:

Benjamin, Ben. I love that name.

By Princess31375 on Thursday, December 1, 2005 - 06:53 pm:

Hello,

I am new here but was reading your post and thought maybe I could throw in a few ideas, I have two boys, one named, Jacob and the other one Logan. I like the names.. Caleb, Ethan, Alexander,Seth. I try to choose names that are more unique, or are not used as much, but that is just me, hope these help some, and good luck.

Vicki

By Breann on Thursday, December 1, 2005 - 07:23 pm:

Drake
Winston
Tyler
Jake (could be Jacob)
Easton

Hmmm, that's about all I can think of!

By Jtsmom on Thursday, December 1, 2005 - 07:51 pm:

My favorite boys names are Samual and David. However, my DH didn't like either so we came to the agreement of Jack and Luke

By Monicamomof3 on Friday, December 2, 2005 - 01:10 pm:

Boy oh boy- you guys are giving me so many names to consider. Some, I've heard but never paid close enough attention to know whether or not I liked them.

Thanks ladies!

I'm still watching and taking notes!

By Ginny~moderator on Friday, December 2, 2005 - 06:10 pm:

I'm with Deanna (Happynerdmom). I like traditional, timeless names. And, as always, I am concerned about what the common nicknames are for some names. I particularly like Michael (Mike, Mickey). I have a nephew Alexander, and that is a nice name (Alex, Sandy). Christopher, Matthew, Andrew, David and Nicholas are also good.

I mildly urge staying away from one syllable names. I found out the "hard" way that yelling Scooooott from the front porch just doesn't resonate the way it does when I yell Greeeegory or Doooonald (my other two sons).

By Monicamomof3 on Friday, December 2, 2005 - 10:50 pm:

I really like Christopher, but that's my nephew's name. :(

Looking at everyone's post, I am beginning to realize I like traditional names as well. I'm just trying to find one that isn't taken by family or close friends.

By Jilly on Saturday, December 3, 2005 - 10:46 am:

Congratulations!

Our boy name that we had chosen (before we found out we're having a girl) is Avery. Our second choice was Aaron.

By Tink on Saturday, December 3, 2005 - 12:47 pm:

If we had another boy, it would have been named Andrew or Nathaniel. I don't love most nicknames but we did like Drew and Nate. I also like the names Reagan, Alexander, and Tyler.

By Mrsheidi on Saturday, December 3, 2005 - 04:31 pm:

I always liked the name Declan.

By Reds9298 on Saturday, December 3, 2005 - 06:35 pm:

If we had a son he would be Benjamin (Ben) or Nathan...love those names!

By Pamt on Saturday, December 3, 2005 - 07:35 pm:

I like strong traditional names as well, so I have a Robert Adam (Adam) and Noah Lewis (Noah). If I had had a 3rd son, he would be names Luke Jameson. I love the name Luke, my dad and brother are named James, and my maiden name and my mom's maiden name had -son at the end. I also really like the names Aaron, Thomas, and Joseph. I really consider the meaning of names as well. Adam means "first man" and he was our first little man and Noah means "one who gives comfort" and he is just the snuggliest, most loving child...even at almost 9 yrs. of age!

Congrats!!! :)

By Kiki on Sunday, January 1, 2006 - 02:46 pm:

I love Micaheal. I also like Christian, Samuel, and Jack. Although, Owen is starting to grow on me.

Congrats on baby 4!

By Trina~moderator on Sunday, January 1, 2006 - 03:56 pm:

DS is "Tyler".
If DD was a boy, she would have been named "Trevor".

Other boy names I'm partial to:
Mason :)
Drew
Griffin
Garrett

Have fun playing the NAME GAME!

By Feona on Monday, January 2, 2006 - 12:10 pm:

We were liking James the other day. Jesus' brother I think...

By Monicamomof3 on Monday, January 2, 2006 - 01:30 pm:

Yes! James was Jesus' brother. I like that name. Unfortunately, that name is taken in our family. :(

Thanks everyone for all the ideas. I've decided that after reading all your names, I am more drawn to the timeless/traditional names.

Y'all are awesome! If you want.... keep'em commin'!!!

:)

By Amecmom on Monday, January 2, 2006 - 01:59 pm:

Congratulations!
I love traditional names, too. Some of the family names we have are Randall, Nicholas, Douglas, Warren, John, Joseph, Sebastian ...
Good luck!
Ame

Emily is #2 and Sarah is #12! Sarah's actually not in the top 10 this time!

By Missmudd on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 - 11:41 am:

Well I went super traditional, Joshua David, Daniel Benjamin, Jacob Nathaniel and Zachary Samuel. Have always liked Mark, Matthew, Christopher, and out on a limb here Gabriel although I think that would just get him beat up on the playground lol.

By Missmudd on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 - 11:47 am:

Aiden is number one? I havent even ever heard this name lol. Wow I must be living in the dark ages. sheesh.

By Dawnk777 on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 - 02:22 pm:

Awwww, neat names. We have a 3yo Aidan at church. He is the cutest little thing. We also have a Gabriel at church. He goes by Gabe.

There's also Aidan Quinn, the actor, who played in Music of the Heart (boyfriend to Meryl Streep). Google Images

By Pamt on Saturday, January 7, 2006 - 11:53 am:

Aaron--shining light; high mountain; messenger
