Good to see you posting! How is your son doing? We just went for our yearly check to the rhuem...we are officially considered in remission! We are so excited. He was even released to play football. It really is such an answer to prayer. Made me think of you and wonder about your son.

Hi Kaye! I am so glad about your son! What great news and what a relief! My son is doing very well too, it has been almost 5 years now since he was so sick and had to be hospitalized. He is considered to be in remission also, however, he does sometimes have pains here and there which motrin takes care of. Mornings are a little tough for him when he first gets up, he is very stiff, is your son like that? We feel extremely lucky that he is doing so well for so long, and we just take things one day at a time. Thanks for thinking about me and my son, and I hope your son continues to do well.

Really in the past few years we had some of the morning stiffness, etc. But for the last year, he has very little issues. After walking in San Fransisco for hours he had some knee pain..lol. What my dr said was there is some damage, which has been replaced by scar tissue, so that can pull and stretch and tighten and cause stiffness. But really it has been a great year, I don't think he has taken any meds at all other than in SF and maybe at boy scout camp after sleeping on the ground (wilderness survival) for two nights. But he is a big kid, 5'4" and 140 pounds.

I am glad to hear your son is doing so well!
