I don't have any boys, but I do know that all of my girls started sprouting the odd hair here and there at that age. It took a couple of years for it to really grow in from that stage, so if boys are the same, I wouldn't worry about it.

I wouldn't worry about it either. My 10 year old ds (4th grade) started getting a few strands of hair last summer and he is also over weight which didn't have much bearing just mother nature. When he was at the ped in Nov. all was OK, their just growing up and so starts the talks about the body changes. I told mine he was starting puberty and it's perfectly normal. That was enough for him
