I wish I did scrapbooking back when my youngest now 13, was little. :(

I guess it is not to late to start one for my 13 and 7 yr. old ds's. I could go back in the photo albums. Those photos of your scrapbooking our priceless. I guess if I want to do it bad enough, I will be a very busy girl. I did buy some scrapbooking materials...awhile back but haven't had much time to do it. Thanks for the inspiration everyone.

Priceless Treasures!

The best advice I got was to work on current stuff, then when you have a free moment to spare, go back and work on the older photos! You could even just do one page per milestone, or even one large page per baby year. I'm sure they will love something of them now too!

Jump right in! ;)

Definitely go for it!! Eve is absolutely right about starting with the most recent first. The most important thing in scrapping is the journaling. Tell the story that you can't see in the pictures. The story that people will wonder about when you aren't there to share it in person. Who is in the pics? Why are they there? What is happening? When did it happen? What is happening off camera that wasn't captured on film? Tell the story. By starting with the most recent, you are starting with the pictures where your memory is the clearest and easiest to write that story.

Get started and have a ball! :)

Thanks guys!!

Great advice. Yeah, starting with the most recent makes complete sense. I could just see myself getting overwhelmed with the whole process of scrapbooking doing it all at once.

Starting current is always better than trying to go back. However, if you are still trying to decide if this is for you start small. I do a family yearbook type album each year, a vacation book, a baby book for each kid and hopefully scout books. However I have to say that the vacation book is always the most fun and the easist to do. I take all my pictures stuff and sort them. I have a definte beginning and end. Those books tend to be smaller and less pages, so you can finish. So if you have something like that it is easy to do and if you stop then you stop and have nothing lost and no loose ends, just a nice book for a vacation. Other people do Christmas books, just put christmas photos in one album, you could do that starting with this past christmas and work backwards. Good luck and just get started!

Thanks for the suggestions. I made my first scrabooking page and just love it so I don't feel sad anymore!
