1 1/2 C. uncooked rice
3 tsp. vegetable oil
2 tsp. soy sauce
3 c. water
1 1/2 tsp. sugar (I use splenda)
1 egg, scrambled and cut into thin strips
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. white pepper
1 1/2 tsp. garlic flavored oil
* if garlic flavored oil is not available, put a garlic clove on a toothpick while cooking. Remove before serving.

Combine rice, vegetable oil, soy sauce *garlic clove and water. Bring to a boil, stir, cover and cook over low heat 12 min. Stir in remaining ingredients and let stand over low heat, covered, 3 min. longer.

I took this to a luau we went to last month and it was a huge hit so I'm making it again for our pool party this Sunday. I thought I would share. Its a sticky sweet rice.

Kristie -- how many servings is your recipe above? It sounds delicious and easy to make.

I'm not sure how many servings it makes. The recipe doesn't say. I doubled the recipe and it fit nicely in a 13X9 pan for transport. Everyone loved it again this weekend. My grandma and my aunt both asked for the recipe. This time I used Jasmine rice and it didn't turn out so good at first because I think Jasmine rice requires more water. I had to add more water and cook longer and then it was fine. Also I added extra sugar this time because it didn't seem sweet enough. I don't know if its because I used regular sugar this time instead of splenda or not.
