HUNGARIAN GOULASH

HUNGARIAN GOULASH

2 c. beef, cut into small chunks
2 T. cooking oil
2 medium onions chopped
1 medium green pepper chopped
2 large cloves garlic minced
3 T. corn starch
1 c. water
1 beef bouillon cube
1 tsp. chopped parsley
½ tsp. onion powder
¼ tsp. pepper
1 T. paprika
8 oz wide egg noodles, cooked and drained


In a 4 quart sauce pan, heat oil over medium high heat. Add beef, and saute until heated through. Add onions, green pepper and garlic; saute' 3 - 4 minutes or until onions are golden brown. Add cup water, bouillon, onion powder and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer 1 ½ hour. Mix paprika, corn starch and ¼ cup water until smooth. Add to pot and stir until thickened. Serve over egg noodles. Makes 4 servings.
