CHINESE CHICKEN SALAD

1 pkg. boneless chicken breasts (4 half breasts), skinned
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. soy sauce
1/4 c. sugar


Mix all liquid ingredients together. Marinate chicken in liquid overnight. Remove chicken from marinade; reserve marinade. In 2 tablespoons oil, brown chicken until golden. Pour off oil, shred chicken and add marinade. Simmer over very low heat until sauce thickens. Cover and chill.

SALAD DRESSING
1 small head of lettuce torn
4 green onions, chopped
2 T. toasted sesame seeds
2 T. sugar
1 T. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
2 T. toasted almond slivers
1/4 c. salad oil
1 small can chow mein noodles
3 T. white wine


Combine dressing ingredients, shake and chill 15 minutes. Toss all ingredients just before serving.
