What to say?

Moms View Message Board: The Fox Hole (War-Related Discussion): Sending In Reinforcements (Showing Support & Comfort, Lifting Spirits): What to say?
By Colette on Monday, April 5, 2004 - 09:22 pm:

There was an article in our local paper, about a family of a marine that was killed in Iraq. The family is having a hard time, and the article suggested sending cards to them. What would you say in such a card? This whole situation is so sad.

I would thank them for all that their soldier has done for our country, and offer your deepest sympathies. I think that your sending a card in the first place will touch them the most.
