We live in a relatively small community. Our troops were activated last month and were just transferred to Colorado yesterday. Then they are off to war. Being in a small town, we knew quite a few of the guys that were going. Special ones to us include :
Shane....my best friends little brother.
Ted....a close friend of my DH from work.

Ted left behind his new bride. Shane left behind his parents and family.

When our troops were activated, that's when the war hit home for us. Too close for comfort.
